Mother is enabling son's gambling addiction. Needs to be the dad since he died and quit enabling, repemend him of him consequences of bad choices that affect everyone. I would not do this for my child. It is enabling him to go down a dark road it is a bad choice for a parent to make. They have to pay their consequences. That is the lesson all children should be taught early on. How important one choice can be and that they will have to pay the consequences.

@@SirViving No sacrifice for my kids' father : only he counts. He still scrounges on me because he benefits from the protection of big wheels. I still have to pay child support for kids that the judge placed back with me because of all the abuse they suffered with him. Little food (they were so hungry they stole the dog's food), just enough clothes to go to school, left alone day and night… He, on the other hand will pay over $100 for just a Tshirt of his… Yeah! a real sacrifice! I know there are some great dads around. But they truly are few and far between.

I think she also has debts to pay off, like a mortgage, consumer credit, car loan etc. Her husband would have taken those out when he was alive and in work, and it doesn't look like he had a life insurance policy, so the wife remains saddled with all the loans, no work experience since she was a soccer mum, and her only option would have been to sell the house and downsize to a cheaper neighbourhood, but that means her children would have had to change school, lose their friends etc. I have seen that happen to other children I grew up with (either when their fathers died unexpectedly or when their fathers lost their well paid jobs in the 1980s) and to some of my clients when I was working in wealth planning. The mother could have made the money she needed by working in prostitution, but it is not an option for many of us. I have looked at escort services (where women are not trafficked but chose sex work willingly) in the past, half the women doing that are single mothers, and most of them do this because they are in debt... Not because they want a nice lifestyle, with expensive clothes and holidays, that's what they tell clients because it's not a good idea to tell people you are heavily in debt and are dealing with debt collectors.

The Man did this due to his ex pushed him for the money, the whole of his money and assets, to give permission for the Man meet his own child. So unfair. All the other robberies the police were already watching and protecting them.

In real life, someone like in her position, will still get arrest with jail time that will get reduced due to cooperative as the person agreed to help to catch the criminals involved. That's for any cases. More to add for reality : The boss/es of the crime in real life, if it takes a long time (with or without hard times, with or without dangerous act like murder) to catch/caught/be found, will get charged with anything possible to add more years in jail even such as "breaking & entering even when the person actually didn't get to enter the place but tried" that will be a minor to be compared or even just 1 small punch to anyone especially police members. What they have, the whole police departments & government will take everything the criminals have that possible to get listed as possible results or part of crimes, including unimportant like every foods/fruits/beverages, etc. that usually polices will take it during early stages right after they are able to catch the criminals. Especially if they don't have an official family live with them. I know all this because some male & female of my parents friends are working in this area including intelligence.

This all happens in the land of vast houses and monster SUVs. Heavy on the oestrogen, heavy on the unwise jeans she wears (the thing that when you >ahem< take them off, the "whole thing" falls out in all it's glory), the fabulous garden outside of a house that can't take $200 from the cash machine....................the rainy-day soundtrack..........................this film is a good laugh. So is the director. Their "dinner" is half a plate of fusilli pasta and the other half, some shredded iceberg lettuce and miniscule quarters of tomato. No dressing - real fun stuff. In a $40,000 fitted kitchen.

If it happens to be that this one left a lasting impression "Her bum looks big in that" and some bloopers......c'est la vie. It could be a valid notice of the arrested development and infantilism of U.S.A. film making or the divorced N. American woman - the largest backward country on the planet evolving/disintegrating exactly as the late Jim Morrison envisaged. None of these bloopers involve budget. There's no "attack" on the producer. It's a couched critique, nothing more. I don't have to be "big time" anything, nor a film producer nor even so much as culturally informed or interested - it's a freebie on KZbin, that's all. I can and do make the comment that I'd be somewhat miffed to be asked to pay money to watch a film like this.
