Thousands of people have given up their identities and lived in the witness protection program. ‘Family in Hiding’ reveals how truly life-shattering that experience can be.
Single mom, Carol Peterson (Brenda Strong - ‘Desperate Housewives’), finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and is horrified to witness an execution-style murder from point blank range of a well-known district attorney. Exposing her identity to the killer, she leaps from her hiding place and into her car, careening out of the parking garage as shots ring out behind her.
The killer, Nahanee (Hrothgar Mathews - ‘Nuremberg’), is a famous crime boss who District Attorney Cloninger (Jerry Wasserman - ‘Smallville’) has been trying to convict for years. Now, Carol must uproot her two teenaged kids and join the Witness Protection Program. They were once a typical, modern family with their biggest worries revolving around basketball games and dates; now, their entire existence is focused on one thing-staying alive.

The boy is an outstanding actor, enjoyed his performance. Additionally, he was less problematic than his sister, who was a pain throughout the Movie. I do think though that the Mother was too lenient, it's not a sin for parents to be firm and discipline their kids. Strict reprimands are necessary when kids persistently disobey 😌

FINALLY...someone with a brain!!! YES! I agree with you 100%! Kids in these kinds of movies are always mouthing off, making stupid decisions, etc., while the mom just stands there looking foolish. But, in a weird twist, the teenagers in movies like this will be afraid to stand up to their FRIENDS, while the moms will stand up to grown men, putting them in their place, but can't put her KIDS in their place.

I love this movie, watched it many times. Matt is a very good actor. When admiring the bike , one of the bad men called his name, his expression changed, denied his name and ran. He is intuitive and very alert. Love you Matt.

I think that I saw a transfer of witnesses about 7/8 years ago. I was driving down a road but there had been overnight digging and the road was totally blocked. There was a small parking area for a garage where I was able to turn around and when I came out, I saw two black vans, with three "agents" I think, suits, short hair, on their mobiles. I felt like I was in a movie. I just hope that those people got to where they were going safely. We watch these movies from the safety of our homes but that day and many days since, I have thought about those people. It's no joke.

I really enjoyed this movie. The only thing I kept getting pissed at the fact that the daughter was so extremely hard headed and the mother kept blaming the FBI for her mess ups. The daughter should have been taught a lesson for real. She kept putting the family in harms way. Other than that, great movie.

I really did enjoy this movie also myself ! Everyone was good in movie despite a low budget film ,especially the son !!! I have watched this about 4 times by now ,maybe 5th now ! Lol. I shared this w/ my friends ,they loved it ! I just watched this w/ my family ,too & they were really into it ,too ! The script was very good & the castings were excellent ,the actor plaid the son & mom were AWESOME & the director did a very good job ! It showed the family values & what is like to be living under the witness protection program & a very good movie for families to watch together ! If I had my kid ,I'd watch this movie w/ him/ her !! So that my kid will learn about family values & differences between the freedoms & being selfish and reckless !! It expressed their emotions really well & psychology & how teenager's minds work ! If the villain was so determined to find and kill this family, the Witness Protection officials should've relocated them to Point Roberts, WA instead of Seattle. They would've been safer there than anywhere else. And the stress of relocation probably would've been easier on her teen kids.

I raised 4 teenagers, & this movie is depicting them true to heart. They ARE self centred, arrogant & rebellous to say the least. It,s 4 daughters. All they thought of was friends, make up & how they look all the time not to mention make up. Oh $ I forgot to mention clothes & boys. Kids just don,t seem to understand how serious things can become in a matter of minutes. They truely just do not get it!!

To one other comment... it,s defenitely NOT because of work that kids are turning out wrong! There are a whole slew of reasons that kids down,t frickin listen. In my case the other half, long since divorced is putting any numbers of ideas in thier heads at any given time & there,s nothing I can do about it , it,s been going on for years & no one wants to touch this one as far as counsellers are concerned. So please keep your opinion to yourself, when you haven,t lived through enything
