Great progress John. Your funny story about the LEDs remind me of the time I meant to order one packet of three onions and I mistakenly typed in eleven, so instead of three onions being delivered, we ended up with 33 onions. We still accepted the delivery but had to put onion into everything for a few weeks !! Anyway, I continue to enjoy building mine alongside you. Your guidance is priceless. Kind regards Nigel Douglas

John, your method of laying the 10-cm planks over existing hatches and mast holes, and then cutting to fit, might look better if you varied it a bit. When the deck was planked in reality, the hatch openings, etc., would already have been there. So it's unlikely that there'd be sections of very short planks abutting these openings. They'd be weak and prone to failing. Also, the precise and consistent arrangement of the places where the planks butt against each other looks a little unrealistic; a little variation where its needed would, I think, be more pleasing to the eye and more realistic. Just a thought. I'm thoroughly enjoying this process and the progress you are making. I don't doubt that you are going to end up with a first-class model of the Victory!

Hi Jose! This construction of the deck is pretty hard and very time consuming. What you suggest is even harder, also a lot of people wouldn't be able to follow it and the pattern that is good for the eye will be ruined.

Such as a glue that will not stick to wood or plastic after being stained or painted? What tools do you use most? consider essential? What tools do you think are just money makers for manufacturers. I'm done with the Albatros hull and decks. WIll be starting masts in next day or two. Recommended tools? tips and techniques

Bonjour John, On vu du travail que demande pour poser ces premiers bordés du pont principal, on comprend mieux les 4 jours passés pour réaliser les deux derniers ponts. Si ce temps parait important et demande beaucoup de patience, cela vaux vraiment la peine vu le résultat obtenu. J’attends avec impatience la suite. Je n’ai pas tout compris sur l’astuce pour les mâts, pouvez-vous me donner des informations complémentaires sur ce sujet, merci d’avance. C’est quoi cette histoire avec le sachet de LEDs ? Hi Yves! The mast must be vertical to the ship and not to the deck, so now it's the time to fix any errors. About the LEDs, i have placed and order for 50 leds and when i payed the order i found out that the leds were 10mm. So i contacted the shop and asked if they can change the order to 3mm leds for the same amount 50 pieces. They did change it but the package of the 3mm contained 10 leds, so now i have 500 yellow leds!!!
