Watching this made me realize Robby Gordon is perhaps my all time favorite American racer - Indy, NASCAR, IMSA, Dakar, SCORE. I didn't know he was still racing trophy trucks - he must be in incredible shape to take that punishment at 50+ years of age. LEGEND!

I miss the days when trophy trucks were factory trucks with modifications. They had real body panels and weren't mock ups being empty of any truck soul. They're now just closed wheel buggies practically... That being said... God, I love this shit!

I remember when Robby drove an IndyCar for AJ Foyt and would routinely blow up the engine just to piss of the old man. He never understood the whole " slow down to go fast " thing......he just put the pedal down and held on for dear life. Not very effective, but hellacious fun to watch him drive.

This makes me think about here in Europe in Motorsports you see everything from 4 to 16 cylinder inline, V's, diesel, Hybrid, fwd, Rwd, and, litterally every configuration of vehicles, while in USA everything is based around V8s.
