Bike ride National Park De Hoge Veluwe 4K (Ultra HD)

The nature of the Hoge Veluwe National Park is overwhelming.
The various former Veluwe landscapes alternate continuously; During your trip through the park you will find foliage and mixed forests, as well as moors (wet and dry), grasslands and dusty landscapes. The Hoge Veluwe National Park is the unique legacy of one of the most distinguished couples in the Dutch history: Anton and Helene Kröller-Müller. Anton was looking for, perhaps as a counterweight for the hustle and bustle of business, rest in nature and especially on the Veluwe. It was also the love for nature, as well as those for the hunt who decided to set up his own estate: De Hoge Veluwe. From 1909 (the couple lived in The Hague since 1900), he began to purchase pieces of land step by step, in order to connect them. In 1917 he had a total of 6,800 hectares. The Kröller-Müller family was the most important landowner on the Veluwe, on only the royal family.
De natuur van het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe is overweldigend. De verschillende oud-Veluwse landschappen wisselen elkaar continu af; tijdens uw tocht door het Park komt u door loof- naald- en gemengde bossen, maar ook over heidevelden (nat en droog), grasvlakten en stuifzandlandschappen.Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe is de unieke nalatenschap van een van de meest markante echtparen uit de Nederlandse geschiedenis: Anton en Helene Kröller-Müller. Anton zocht graag, wellicht als tegenwicht voor het jachtige en drukke zakenleven, rust in de natuur en dan met name op de Veluwe. Het was ook de liefde voor de natuur, evenals die voor de jacht, die hem deed besluiten een eigen landgoed te stichten: De Hooge Veluwe. Vanaf 1909 (het echtpaar woonde inmiddels, sinds 1900, in Den Haag) begon hij stapsgewijs stukken grond aan te schaffen, om die vervolgens aaneen te schakelen. In 1917 bezat hij liefst 6.800 hectare. De familie Kröller-Müller was daarmee de belangrijkste grootgrondbezitter op de Veluwe, op alleen de koninklijke familie na.
