The question is 'passenger load'. If, HSR can carry to its FULL CAPACITY DAILY then it is worth in its running cost. Many projects have become 'white elephants'. As the saying 'style mau kalah tidak apa'. Compare International & Domestic flight...which is more 'cost effective?' Maybe, Electric Aeroplane is in the 'blue print. The question come down to the passenger load, the volume of passenger that will make it a viable investment or not. If there isnt sufficient passenger load, the cost of the maintenance of the HSR will eventually overun making operation of the HSR costly, expensive and technically dangerous in the long run.

2008---- the signd agreements btn malaysia n singapore r NEVER publically available for both countries' public... we know bits n piences .. but now all details will come out... like u asked LANDS OWNERS/DIRECTORS...all gestation/lands acquizations/studies/ pre-construction fundings n interests will be responsible and paid by singapore... as far as properties bilt later along the ail track l;ands... this will be exposed in the near future... some very very expensive lands in singapore n malaysia... so last word... nothing is up 4 grabs...

There are aircrafts flying between the 2 countries... There are thousands of busses traveling between the 2 countries Cars are moving between the 2 countries And there is an existing train line ... I am puzzled and trying to understand how the addition train system will boost the economy and the cost of the tickets for a single ride is around RM400? That's more expensive than all other forms ... Who can afford this?

If there are aircrafts thats fast, why do you need cars, if you have cars already, why do you need trains? These modes of transport are not exclusive to one another but completmentary. A high speed rail would definitely benefit both countries going into the future. Or you would just rely on old dated modes of transport like the KTM LOL Even the cars faces huge jams at the causeway. RM400 more expensive than the airlines? It will be fantastic to connect both countries by the HSR to be progressive and not retrogressive.

Projek tu pulak akan dijana menggunakan duit hasil cukai GST. Sebab tu kita buat GST. Duit yang kita dapat dari GST tu sebahagiannya akan digunakan untuk membiayai projek kerajaan. Kita tak boleh bergantung harap pada duit minyak semata-mata. Negara yang bijak dia takkan mengharapkan satu sumber sahaja untuk memajukan negara.
