Johor Zoo, located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is one of the nation's oldest zoos, established in 1928 by Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar. Originally a private collection of the royal family, the zoo was later opened to the public. Spanning 12.5 hectares, the zoo is home to over 100 animal species, including predators, elephants, reptiles, and birds. It serves as a key destination for families, focusing on wildlife conservation, education, and recreation. Over time, the zoo has undergone numerous upgrades to enhance animal welfare and improve visitor facilities.
