Hello,I have the option of studying microbiology at a degree level in Zambia (Africa ) and I found this video very encouraging. I don't know much about the field though. What exactly can I do with a microbiology degree after completing my studies. And is it generally a programme you would recommend? Any help or advise will be highly appreciated.

So I’m at a fork in the road. Should I start my degree in biol or should I get a degree in medical technology?

William Cowan I am a microbiology major doing a certificate program concurrently to become a microbiology technologist (like if an MLS only worked in a micro lab)

Will you be going for your masters/PHD in microbiology?

William Cowan maybe a PhD further down the line, but I'd hope to work in a clinical lab or biotech company after I graduate and I'm done with my internship

This video is interesting, and moving, and I love science and microbiology, but I can´t agree how the part about natural pesticides is presented. Because It may people think, that insects are bad and not so important like plants, animals and humans. I prefer to hear that what is important is the balance between species. Not insects are bad, but imbalance and we need to learn how to put some imbalance among species into normal state and protect diversity
