Cuz the writer wrote Ging like Aizen, Ging planned everything and predicted every move that gon would make and he even left bread crumbs as clues the whole series, greed island, the memory card, telling Razor that gon will come and fight him someday etc... He's not bad cuz he knows that Gon would survive, how? idk ask Togashi but it's not that Ging doesn't care.

@@thehighlight513 If we're talking about how he is written then I would like to add that when Togashi came up with Gon he realized that if Gon had normal parents he would just be a normal hard working kid. So to allow Gon to be more outgoing, he made his dad a pretty bad father who makes his son travel the world and go through all kinds of dangerous adventures. So sure Ging plans a lot, but he's also by all standards a pretty awful father.

@@silentstorm5757 Well that if Gon is by any means a normal kid, dude we are talking about GON the one who f'ed Pitou up, a royal gaurd, so the idea of family in Anime is not like our reality where a father is protective of his child physical and mental health, in HxH Ging knows that his kid is gonna be a tough mf, and he wanted him to have his journy and by that gon learnt more than being with his dad, see through all the arcs every arc Gon matures till the pitou fight, the lessons he learnt are more valuable and Ging know that. but he's a fictional character so who knows maybe he's bad

@@thehighlight513 Yes, we are talking about GON who gave up everything just to prove he's worthy of being Ging's son. (He felt like ging was testing him by sending him to Kite, and then Kite's death and he couldn't do anything because he's weak. In a way, Ging abandoning Gon and also being one of the greatest Hunter in the world let Gon to his self-destruction.) Dude, he would literally die if not for Alluka's power. How could Ging predict that. Gon would learn nothing if he died. Ging is not a bad person, but he's a bad dad for sure. P.S. I knew in the manga, mito took the custody away from Ging. But come on, Ging can still see Gon anytime he wanted, it's not like Mito had a Restraining order against him, in chapter 66, Ging admitted that he gave up being a father to "be what he really is". Bad father, good hunter. Hunters are selfish creatures, he said that himself. I would even argue it would be better if he didn't leave the message and Greed Island for Gon. At least Gon wouldn't try this hard to impress or prove himself that much. Gon might not be as strong as he was before he's about to die. At least He would have the chance to reach his full potential. Ging just wanted his son to be strong like him. It's a selfish reason. How would he knew Gon would grow up like him. He left him when Gon was a baby. Hell, he "sent" kite to whale island as an incentive for Gon to chase after him. Imagine you thought your dad was died, and all the sudden a cool guy came out of nowhere and saved your life. It turned out that cool guy was your father's student and his father not only not die, he''s even cooler than Kite. Would you not want to follow your father's footstep?

the difference is that the boxer in the greed island can only use his power inside the boxing ring with those kind of symbol drawn on the floor while leorio's ability has more freedom on it. he can use it where and whenever he wanted to. and also the boxer on greed island doesnt have an elongated arm when he uses his ability while leorio on the other hand is the opposite. i wonder if you cut leorio's ability. will you be able to cut his real arm ?

If you rewatch the episode, gon says: "he does not care", and the gon you see in hospital is the consequence of that. killua said sth about stopping earlier eith that power, so if gon wouldve used less nen, he might've been in a better condition.

I feel like Leorio just do timeskip, remember Leorio exit the hunter back when Yorknew City Arc (Phantom Troupe Arc) and then 2 Arcs later he just showed up in 12 Zodiacs Arc or Alluka Arc. And right off he punch Ging's face. Also Leorio's nen is Emitter just so you know. And the name of his power is Remote Punch base on HXH fandom.
