Oh, I see. So it's in the Nvidia control panel settings to do this. I always wondered how to combine all the monitors together as one, without the actual extended display setting from Windows. A lot of people are misinformed of the purpose of this function. Basically it allows you to extend multiple displays as one gigantic display. Like the ones you see in sporting events, restaurants, shows, etc. When surround configuration is set, Windows treat it as one big screen instead of the actual individual screen itself. Try maximizing a KZbin video the way it is now. It only makes it big on one screen. Now enable surround configuration from the Nvidia control panel and maximize your Window. What does it do? It maximizes and spreads across all your connected monitors combined.

Is a Four-Monitor Array doable? I fly open cockpit WW1 aviation sims and I've seen three-monitor setups where a center monitor shows the view ahead and a second and third monitors angled back on the sides show the view to either side; blended to merge when you rotate your head to look around with a head tracker like Track IR. I've also seen four-monitor setups with one at top center, but only used to display the desktop; not the sim. QUESTIONS Is it possible to assign a fourth monitor (above the center monitor and angled back) to show an overhead view of the sky in an "open cockpit" aviation simulation? Will the "wrap around" setting for three multiple monitors also see a fourth one (atop center) as "extra real estate" on which the range of the game image can be extended? I'd like to build an array that will do that. Any info?

not unless the game specifically supports it. OSs and graphic cards only support rectangular screens for now, and some actually only support certain specific resolutions

I have a ROG laptop and I and 2 monitors connected. 1 is HDMI the other is a USB HDMI ADAPTER. I am unable to find the surround option and there is only one monitor shows. What should I do, any advice?

It’s because the USB adapter isn’t getting it’s video through the video card, only the hdmi is. If you have a Mini DisplayPort you can get an adapter from that to hdmi and have two monitors powered off the graphics card. Additionally, if theres a type C port associated with the graphics card it may work as well, but you’ll have to do your own independent research to find out if your type c port is compatible. I tried this with a 34" 3440x1440 monitor and a 16" 1600x2560 monitor (in portrait mode) hoping to get 5040x1440 or at least 4320x1440 resolution by downscaling the 16" monitor to 900x1440, but unfortunately, the only option was 3840x1080 which is overall lower resolution than the 34" monitor itself. And you still can't watch videos in full screen with both monitors, only on one.

Hey, i cant see my displays at nvidia control panel at all. I have ROG Notebook with AMD Ryzen 9 as onboard graphic and nvidia 3050 ti as second. Where can i set it to, that it should use the nvidia card as default to see the display settings at CP?

If it's a laptop then it could be that it is blocked so you cant if it is a tower than make sure you are using the ports on the GPU not the motherboard either way the discrete graphics could be messing with it

​@@lDARKILL3RlThanks for your feedback but I have already solved the problem. My system is really a laptop and not a tower. In the bios, as you said, you can't change the default GPU, so it always uses the onboard GPU as default. What I have done now is, i still can't see the displays in the Nvidia control panel but I can see them in the AMD Radeon software. I have installed the latest driver and started AMD Radeon software. You have to be careful with the driver installation, because Windows automatically downgrades the AMD driver, after that you can't start AMD Radeon Software anymore because the driver version doesnt match. You have to disable the "automatic driver installation of Windows" in registry or group policies and update the driver again. If it is done, there is in the Radeon software the feature AMD Eyefinity and with it you can set the displays to one big display and the Nvidia GPU also recognizes it automatically as one big display because the configuration of AMD has priority here . So, thats the way how i solved it but thanks anyway :)

1. update your driver and restart the computer 2. are you on a laptop? 3. are your monitors connected to the graphics card or the mainboard? Which option is missing? "Display" is there, right? "Set up multiple displays" is there? and at the bottom, "Surround spanning options" is there after scrolling down? That is the one. You can also just press "3D settings" and then "Configure Surround, PhysX"

Nvida probably quietly got rid of it like they did with support for 3d TVs because they want to push some other product. I've been trying to research this same thing via 3rd party software and learned they have some shit called "mosaic technology" they are trying to push to their high end market. railroading their own product to make money. Classic nvidia shit right there.
