I assume you never found where to get the tool to tighten/loosen the bath waste. I've been trying to find something like this for ages for kitchen sink large bolt. Great video as always 👍

I’m back to back with bathrooms right now I start a new rip out tomorrow. Customers can be a pain when they want stuff their way. The one tomorrow is gonna get a shock when it’s finished as his hot water is an open vent and he wants a pump on the shower but doesn’t want to increase the cold storage. That should be fun when I get a call a week later 😂. Great stuff as always

@@SmartPipePlumbing Maybe the problem is not the customer per se, but your failure to explain why their proposal is either not to regulations, will not work, work sub optimally or will increase the price of the job or can not be subject to warranty. Communication is difficult, takes time and you need to close the loop to ensure both parties are on the same page. If you start out with a mantra of difficult customers - guess what you will get - it makes the job much less rewarding in the longer term.

Decent video as always mate, oit of interest, the ch pipes in the airing cupboard, did you not need any sort of air vent where they where linked?? Pipes went up and over is all! Just a though pal 🤙

What shower plate are you using? Is it the new Alfie one? Do you use anything better than a backplate elbow for outlets like a rainfall head

I use the marflow pl8 for the shower plates. I’ve used straight through wall plates before

Never use plasterboard in any form in this set up , it has to be tile backer board all day every day. School boy error.

Ply? As a backer board?? In a bathroom??? With a shower above/adjacent??? WTF? Wasn't even gum sealed by the look of the wall. I always advise customers not to have pop up wastes where a shower is a fitted above. You know it's only a matter of time before someone stands on the plug, instead of removing it to shower. Jammed or snapped, strained, broken pop-up mechanism. Sounds like an arsey customer to me, m8. We all get 'em.
