Your version of connecting a new yarn to the old is the BEST I’ve ever seen!!!!!! Thank YOU so much.

Excellent tutorial! P.S. I loved that there wasn't a 10 minute set-up before the teaching began; I'm glad there were no products to flog before-hand; and, I'm grateful that the tutorial was expertly explained.

Super helpful video. I've been looking for a technique to avoid the hole when joining yarn in the round and this is it! thanks so much.

So grateful that I found this video! Been looking for a way to join a new yarn at a neckline and went through so many videos to find this one. Thank you so much!

It also works very nice and invisible for working flat in stockinette. Just purl the 2 loops together instead of knitting them together. I love this method!

Yes, that's a great tip!

Thank you soo much! I had to pull out the kitchener join of a sock, plus the 10 rows of the toe shaping after I'd worn the socks, and washed them. I noticed that I had placed my 40 sts back onto the 3 needles (after a frog fest when I made a mistake) offset. So now, I've reseated all 40 sts back on the 3 needles, 10-20-10, and I'm going to re-knit my toe shaping. However, I'm using new yarn, not the curly yarn which I wouldn't have enough of anyway, and I was perplexed on how to join the new yarn! THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME! ❤

Hi Ellen! I am wanting to make a sock with contrasting cuff, heel and toe. So I will be joining a new color at the beginning of the round. Do you have a video on how to do that? Thank you

Hi Bonnie! Socks with a contrasting cuff/heel/toe are so cute. I hate weaving in yarn tails, so I try to use the Russian join whenever possible. I have a video demonstrating the Russian join here, kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3eYeKeDortsd6M. I haven't made a video yet, but I do have a photo tutorial about how to do a color change with a Russian join on my blog, www.thechillydog.com/2017/11/knitting-tutorial-russian-join-color-change.html. Hope that helps.
