Hello lovely! Welcome to the community. I have just found your channel and find you so relaxing to watch. I’m sure you’ve been told before but you look like a Disney Princess, so ethereal and the books behind you adds to the vibe lol. Oh and your hair colour is absolutely beautiful! I’m 39 and have been obsessed with makeup since before I could talk. I used to watch my mom apply her luxury makeup products for date night and can still remember how they smelt. I ate an entire tube of lipstick that she’s never quite got over. I trained as a makeup artist and got my license but never made a career out of it. Makeup is my therapy but has become an addiction and is something I am trying to heal myself of without losing my passion for it. Finding that balance is harder than I thought ❤

YOU ATE A LIPSTICK?😂😂😂 I don't think I'd get over that either lol Makeup can definitely be therapeutic, it is a practical way to have a daily "self-care moment", but I would agree with you that it can be hard to. balance, but I'm sure you will get there 🧡 do not get discouraged!

@@WerasMakeupI will just reassure you that I was only a baby when I ate the lipstick 😂 it was her favourite one and I drew all over the walls, myself and ate what was left. Every time we go makeup shopping together she reminds me of it. You’d think after almost 40 years she’d be over it 😂

Just subscribed! I look forward to watching your progress ! Another channel you may like is Alejandra Lisette she’s out of Texas and does some panning videos too . One thing she shared was using an app to inventory your collection . The app she recommended is Glow in me . I’m currently trying to get my collection uploaded. It’s free and no limits on numbers .

I loved hearing about your journey into makeup, especially the tie-in with your other/past interests. I got into buying makeup around 2015/16, during that first wave of beauty KZbin. I bought way, WAY too much! I started paring down around 2019/20, and now I have a relatively small makeup collection (probably around 30 items). I love watching panning content, even though I don’t have the variety or quantity of makeup to participate in it fully (when you only have 1-2 of a product category, it doesn’t feel as much like “panning” as simply using it up naturally). Can't wait to see more of your content!

@@WerasMakeup a combo of both. There were lots of things I panned and realized that they were the things I actually liked, and I decluttered a lot of things that I never should have bought in the first place by giving them away to family and friends.

@@angelaa.9915 nice! I have been doing the same thing, trying to finish up stuff and giving away stuff. So far, I have rehomed two highlighters, a lipstick (to my mom), and about five eyeshadow palettes to my friends. Hopefully, one day I'll be like you and only have the essentials!

@@WerasMakeup you know what’s strange, though? I’ve stopped watching hauls and reviews and started watching lots of panning videos, but strangely, seeing how much variety other people have to pan has also normalized for me having more products in my collection! Even samples and stuff… I find myself thinking, “Oh, I wish I had all those samples to do a project pan with!” Which I realize is nuts 😅

@@angelaa.9915 hahahahaha! When the attempts to not over-buy makeup backfire. But maybe, with your minimal collection, there could still be a way of doing a project pan to satisfy that urge? Like tracking progress for the fun of it. For me, a project pan is definitely needed lol but I'm also interested in the "math" behind using up a product as an insightful statistic lol I don't know if that makes sense.

Welcome to the YT panning community, Wera! 🩷 I started panning in January 2021, also via IG initially. I was never into beauty KZbin, but started to watch tutorials (of like 2-3 makeup artists exclusively) in 2018, and then the excess started… 😅 I also want to have just 1-2 items in most categories. It’s a longterm goal but we’ll get there! 💕🙏
