Hi! I'm the maker of that Sodor train map. It was my first map ever, and it was never meant to be an RP map. Doge (the owner of the server you visited) randomly came along and asked if he could edit my map for his own needs and I just shrugged and said sure. I'll be honest I have no idea what that server was about. People actually run on my train map in actual sandbox trainbuild servers with no problems, so this is a very unfortunate view of it. Things like basic 2D background walls, no collision on some buildings, ect, are all because it's a train running map. Being detailed or realistic wasn't the aim. The aim was just for people to run prop-built trains on. Heck, the vehicle trains you find on workshop derail on it as it wasn't designed for them. (Trainbuild has... a very steep learning curve.) And yeah, the map is pretty laggy. Over the years I just kept adding more and more things to it and all the extra DarkRP addons mounted on it isn't doing any favors for performance. I totally understand the dissapointment though. It's essentially a roleplay gamemode trying to run on a gigantic, purely sandbox map, with no modification to the script to make it actually usable. Happy to see you got some funny content out of it, though. Hopefully this clears some things up for the others. Cheers.

The part about non-solid objects makes complete sense since typically if you're in a train, focus is on making the train mechanics work and background details don't need to be solid.
