For the fiftieth episode I did a joint that I was avoiding for a long time. Those Keys have to be spaced really well...

I have always enjoyed watching your KZbin channel. Of all the joinery that you have showcased, this is by far the most interesting video. The kicker was when you hammer in the two small dark wood pieces into the join to secure it. Wow... that was like the "cream de la cream" moment for me. After watching your videos, I want to take up joinery lessons to.

Abgefahrene Verbindung. Danke.

Probably not. Usually a frame with carvings is fitted over the recesses, so it’s not necessary. It’s for the trim above doors.

Hey David, the pre joinery stage is just tablesaw, jointer and thicknesser. Nothing fancy. I chose Hard maple for personal reasons, not for structural integrity or anything. You just see all the mistakes because it’s so light. Also it’s super hard, so I need to work more precisely. It’s more of a challenge to polish my skills...

You’ve really improved over time. I mean even in the beginning of this series, you were pretty good at joinery. But this joint isn’t for someone who’s “pretty good”. I’m not sure there are many people alive today who could make this joint correctly. Really nice work.
