The teacher and his friend ...have a dynamic relationship... I was wondering why they are together and what they see in each other but at the end I have learnt to appreciate their uniqueness, weirdness and the relationship..they have really helped each other alot . There are no perfect relationship out there ... the teacher should be thankful he has someone like his friend... he is a rare gem.. is not easy to be friends with someone whose words hurt or cut you quite often. Naa people saying negative things about Nimi aren’t getting the show. He could be really blunt with his words but it’s obvious that it’s it’s coming from a place of love, concern and need for his friends personal growth. I disagree. He was not ill intentioned or belittling, he also said a lot of things that show he values the relationship. And he didn't actually point the dream thing out as a flaw in character, only as a circumstance thing. He even said himself that he wants his own kids to dream bigger than him. From their experiences, you can feel the good and the support is not one sided. Plus Christopher even agreed with him; the straightforwardness and bluntness of your friend doesn't mean what they say come from a place of diminishing you even though since it'shuman nature, it can hurt. To Daniel: As a rule, don't ever tell your female "Best Friend" that you would like to be more than friends. Girls usually say no to that. Aside from the fact that ladies are often mostly shy to speak out when they like a guy, there is the problem of them having already seen all your silliness, failures, and weaknesses-what we Nigerians call "see finish." It doesn't measure his competence as a man. Some guys may feel he's giving feminine vibes.. The supposed proud and condescending teacher is very expressive and very cool.. And seem competent and manly.. The other guy is emotionally and I can understand why as a lady you may think he's proud. What I see he is competent, he has big dreams and he wants to push his friend to be at the level he is.. He is also smart. The only downside I see in their interaction is that maybe he does not know his friend as much as he thinks he does.. Or that he is not as invested in the friendship as the emotional guy.. Or the emotional guy may not be communicating with him well enough.. Maybe because of low self esteem or maybe being emotional, he's just too considerate of his feelings that he doesn't want to have honest conversations with him. Anyways... That friendship needs more communication as it could be the best relationship that has happened to them... And it could be the most toxic one where one is the domineering one and the other is suppressed. I believe they need each other.. The supposed arrogant guy will definitely come off as arrogant to a lot of people, so he needs true friends like the emotional guy who can put up with him. The emotional guy needs that guy to prop him to dream big and grow big together.. The arrogant guy seem to be the doer and active guy while the emotional guy seems to be risk adverse, and laid back or slow to action.. So they complement each other, covering up for their weaknesses. But it can be toxic if they can't communicate cos the emotional guy although competent and cool, may not be able to find his voice in the midst of the loudness of his supposed arrogant friend.. And if he cannot voice out, he can't be heard, if he can't be heard, then he will not be a relationship where both benefitsl from each other.. But if that's the case, don't think for a second that it's the arrogant guys fault. Their personalities are just very different...
