I started watching Spartacus only about a year ago while waiting for GOT's final season. I figured something involving "tits and swords" would fit the bill nicely. And while the show certainly offered both of those in ample measures, that's not enough to sustain interest in a show; those things can be found in hundreds of shows and movies. What kept me coming back to Spartacus (and watching the whole series nearly four times in the past year) were the story, the characters, and their relationships with each other. And I certainly didn't expect to love the show as much as I do.

@@michaelairton3723 Spartacus caught everyone by surprise, I used to think as you when I saw the first trailer: "oh look, some badass gladiator fighting, should be fun". And it became my 2nd favorite fiction(based on reality though) of all time.

Exactly, the violence and sex move the story forward. The fight scenes are second to none, and the sex is artistic and beautiful. And the dialogue is like poetry. I just finished this series and it is still the most entertaining show. Just as good as Game of Thrones with a much better ending

For the first time I see the insides of a person spilling out. Gory but real. The audience at the arena scream for blood. The violence is so real. The sex is artistic, nakedness beautiful. And also the sex is about power and control in some scenes. Great acting. Gives a lot to ponder on. 👍
