Personally, I’m glad he didn’t. (aside from the odds of him potentially being killed by Made In Heaven BS if he chose to ally with Jolyne) I feel like a big part of his introduction was that Jotaro and Koichi didn’t really know if he was an enemy or an ally, because he was neither. He’s an independent player with his own goals outside the Joestars and DIO, so he doesn’t have a reason to choose either side tbh
