Drake should've invited her to re-record the song again as a duet, something like Marvin's Room Part 2 . I read somewhere he was impressed by how Jojo slayed the track, because she basically founded her career over harmless and friendly teen pop directed to pre-teen audiences and for her to actually switching to an explicit and mature R&B content so effortlesly and without feeling forced is quite an accomplishment. I haven't heard much about her these days but would be quite of a comeback if she released an urban project with this aura as an inspiration

This song would of been better as a duet. In the music video drake and jojo are at the same party drunkenly calling each other at the same time obviously it goes to voicemail, Hence the verses are what they say on each others voicemail. At the end of the video when the songs over they both give up calling look up from their phones then see each other from across the room.
