@@loracook1433 There's a ton of actual evidence of what Colleen did, Adam McIntyre has videos up talking about his experiences and shows the receipts to prove it (including showing the lingerie she sent him when he was like 14 that Colleen claims was just 'ugly underwear' but it was a full lingerie set with lace.) among others, like Becky and Oliver. I think JoJo is refusing to see it because it would require admitting her own experiences and traumas, and I just hope that she eventually wakes up and figures it out before there's even more harm done. Colleen is using her to have access to the younger fanbase and she's wayyyyy too close to Rachel, to the point people actually thought they were dating for a while which is...creeptastic.

I've personally gone through my own trauma experiences, and yes I agree completely, it took me YEARS to come to terms with what actually happened. For the longest time, I stayed silent (knowing it was weird) but I had no idea how wrong it was and the help I could've received. at a young age, when you're still developing, learning, and processing things; running into a situation like that, it blurs a lot of lines. It takes a while to retrace and understand that you need to push that person away. Which is hard to do when it's someone you genuinely care about, and feel should be in your life (like a family member)

As a victim of SA I see JoJo as much of a victim as the others who actually faced Colleen's bad side and she was groomed and probably even touched but because her parents don't do anything about it. Young kids and teens who are groomed by older people unfortunately will have the sort of “Stockholm syndrome” of wanting to defend or not say bad things about the people that groomed them, despite what happened to them. A lot of that has to do with the fact that their brains aren’t fully developed, they don’t understand what happened to them, and/or they don’t understand what’s appropriate vs. inappropriate between a young person and an adult. It’s a multi layered thing. Definitely a trauma reaction. So I’m sad that she is defending someone like that, but I can understand where it’s coming from.

It really is an uncomfortable situation when you find out someone who you were friends with and who had your respect, did something inappropriate. I think jojo is accustomed to adults interactiong with children since she and others experienced a lot of that on dance moms. She witnessed maddie and Sia get close. And she doesnt generally see a problem, hence mentioning she was 12. She is in denial about the accusations and shes still in naive mindsrt in general. I just feel bad for jojo, but to be fair she's 2 years younger than me... and it took me until now to cut ties with a toxic family member who I knew since I was a kid obviously. So hopefully she reaches that conclusion soon. Knowing someone at a young age, who feel like family, I'm sure Colleen is family to her, it's hard cutting ties

I would also say that her becoming defensive in this way reflects that she is probably still in denial about the situation and has not come to terms with it as an adult yet. She has to accept what happened in order to move forward. Otherwise she will be going in circles like this over and over again defending the person that groomed her and also putting herself in toxic situations as an adult because of what happened to her. It’s a very common reaction to this type of trauma. I really do hope she gets the help she needs. 💕

No. She's an adult herself. Yes she has trauma, but like anybody else (especially everybody who has already been cancelled for being predators) she needs to take accountability for her actions. She's just as problematic as Shane, Colleen, James. People who still defend her are babying her and allowing her to believe this behavior is okay when it's not. Trisha, HER problematic self has distanced from these people.. just because JoJo has gone through trauma doesn't mean she gets a free pass.

Okay, so I wasn't necessarily groomed, but I have been severely manipulated and sexualized before. I can see the side that JoJo comes from probably better than anyone unless you've been there. If you haven't, I hope you never experience it, that was not a flex. But I wanted to blame the parents of the person because "they didn't spend time with their kid growing up" and that was all i saw. He made me believe that i deserved what happened and that even if i did tell no one would give two fucks about me so i didnt tell ANYONE not even my own PARENTS for 2 years after the fact, then my boyfriend at the time, I'd finally opened up and he helped me tell and realize that what that man did to me was NOT okay. All I'm trying to say is sometimes it takes someone we trust, reaching out and helping us open our eyes. Please don't comment unless you have something nice to say, my mental health couldn't handle it.

For anyone wondering Colleen had a nine year old boy come on stage while she was doing her show and said she was going to pretend she was on a date with him and she asked him to “simply react to her” she then proceeded to ask him to reach his hands down her songs and grab a “snack” the kid was super uncomfortable and was laughed at by the audience while he was forced to do something inappropriately. Not including inappropriately talking to a minor.
