That's kinda tricky though, isn't it? Don't get me wrong, someone sober can definitely take advantage of someone drunk. But when both people are drunk and hook up, are they both not capable of giving consent? Not to mention when people get drunk it doesn't automatically relieve them of accountability. If you drink and drive, you're held accountable for making the choice (i.e., consent). Of course the difference is when someone else is involved and only one person is "under the influence" and the other person's inhibitions isn't lowered. Which is what makes it predatory. Like the difference between two teens hooking up vs someone underage and a grown adult (considering children can't consent). Even a sober underage person and a drunk adult, it's not like the lack of consent cancels each other out. The drunk adult should still know better. And yet even those who can't consent can still commit assault, including kids. Therein lies the conundrum.

she really reminds me of my ex (we're both former SW) who looked just like this and also had a similar history. she would get intoxicated and be hypersexual just like this. you don't fucking push something on someone who has trauma around bodily autonomy. and yeah honestly i don't fuck w girls w trauma who are intoxicated. i know some ppl think that's being paranoid but it's gone wrong before (we were both drunk but something seemed weird or like dissociated and i had to just break it off on the middle)

My dad took advantage of my mom on new years eve she was black out drunk so much so she didn't even know it happened until her friend told her. Regardless of whether it's someone you know or not, trying to take advantage of someone under the influence isn't okay under any circumstance. As for the woman in the video, it's by and large because she'd been drinking and he keeps on buying her drinks. Dude gets even more hands-y, after she's been drinking a bit, that makes it so creepy.

I honestly can't stand it. I and other women have been in situations like this before where dudes can tell you're clearly drunk and know you wouldn't talk to them otherwise so they take the opportunity to try to get you to do things with them. I, fortunately have never gone that far while drunk, but I've definitely given a creepy dude my number who I would never give the time of day while I was sober. His behavior is why I try not to go out alone. Also, it's shockingly common how supposedly good guys will pretend that they care about your trauma just to get into your pants.

The ONLY TIME I had someone buy me a drink at a bar and I didn’t get the ick from them, was when this really really excited, somewhat drunk man came up to me and my mom, BEAMING, shoved his iPhone in our faces with a photo of a man and woman posed with a newborn in the hospital, and went “can I buy you’s two a drink? My baby brother’s baby was just born! My nephew was just born, can I buy you a drink?” lol. Like this dude just went around and asked if he could buy everyone a drink, down the line, because he’d just gotten the news his nephew was born. It was high key kinda adorable. He was in Florida, his family was in Australia and he got word his sister in law had gone into labor a few weeks early. There were no immediate flights, so his two buddies were like “well wait it out at the bar to take the edge off, and then we’ll be there already to celebrate when he’s born” lol
