You made a really good point about how this is probably what Jojo’s personality is truly like, and it is true that by being connected to Nickelodeon, that kind of put her into the role of a “character”, so to speak. Heck, even in the Nickelodeon Kart video game, Jojo was actually considered a “Nickelodeon character”, along with SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, and Lincoln Loud. That definitely could not have been an easy pill to swallow, knowing that you are just considered a walking cash grab by your own company for kids to consume. That is the main problem with getting your foot in the door by first starting out as “kids’ actor”, because after you are done with that chapter of your career, people don’t really see you as anything else or take you seriously as a “true actor” (or in this case, “singer”), so to speak, such as Emma Stone or Brad Pitt for example. The only problem is, though, is that Jojo is trying WAY to hard to try and stress the point that she isn’t “for kids anymore” by going a 360 full throttle into shock value in her music videos, overuse of profanity, and grotesque imagery and costumes. This may not be the best analogy of it, but it reminds me a whole lot of how Sega wanted to prove the point that Sonic the Hedgehog was “not for kids”, so they created the game “Shadow the Hedgehog”, which dove headfirst into guns, blood, violence, metalcore music, profanity, and aliens that looked like demons. It just kind of comes off as you are simply trying way too hard to look “mature” and “not for children”.

I think she should take a step back and chill on some of the big marketing pieces, already made a ton of cash, first off, ditch the team and just write the music yourself, then release the music without all the extra noise

@ROOKIETHESTAR Yeah, I agree, you can be a more sophisticated, more mature singer without having to include all the other wack stuff, lol. She obviously has talent, but she just needs to gear it correctly, because she is off to a pretty rough start for sure. Also, this is unrelated, but I saw in the link below that you had your own music, and I checked it out, and it actually sounds REALLY good! Your voice sounds like a cross between Oli Sykes from Bring Me the Horizon and JuiceWRLD, with a little bit of MGK thrown in there, three singers that I LOVE. The sound of your hyperpop instrumentals also kind of sounds like modern Bring Me the Horizon music too, such as their songs “LosT” and “MANTRA” for example. Overall, I rock with your music bro, keep up the awesome work!! 👍

I can see you becoming a big indie singer one day, singers like Billie Eilish and JuiceWRLD started out the same way, then hit it big! NateWantsToBattle is another perfect example, he started out doing covers of video game music, like FNAF and stuff, and now he did a collab with Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens!
