Shakarus Sanders Yeah Aaliyah’s uncle was the head of Blackground - they refused to release both their music for use and streaming. That’s why JoJo re-recorded her first two albums, she did a mini documentary on all the crap dude pulled. The label was going under and they didn’t find out until last minute.

First off, I appreciate how you recognize the subtleties of the background vocals and how much they add to a song. Second, JoJo is hands down one of the best vocalists of our generation. This is 15 yr old JoJo (this came out 2006) and so much has happened since. She is now 29. Check out "Man" off of her latest album "Good to Know", which was released May 2020. She's come into her own as a grown woman. *Fun fact: Mariah follows her on IG and Twitter and approves. I'd say that says a lot.*

This songs probably one of my favourites of all time. Jojo is so underrated. Her vocals are nuts! Pretty sure she can hit whistle notes she’s has a crazy range. Highly recommend watching her sing live, maybe from when she was really young it will blow you away. But also you gotta do Get Out (Leave) it’s her most famous song and she was 13! When she made it.
