The EXACT same thing happened to me at Water Country USA, my home water park. I was on Jet Scream, a single-person tube slide, and I fell off the raft a quarter of the way thru, and ended up getting back into the raft in a Superman position. I stayed that way until the final splashdown, when I was sent headfirst into the pool. When my family asked me what had happened, I just told them, “The raft was alive.”

That is why I death grip those handles that's my biggest fear is falling out of the rafts. I'm not a great swimmer so I would not be able to pull myself back up, it would be vary scary for me. I'm glad he was ok. That aside, I loved valcano bay its definitely an all day water park, I like valcano bay better then blizzard beach. Typhoon wasn't open when I visited, hopefully next time when I go down there it will be open so I can compare but so far valcano bay all the way...
