I'd love to do Arkham City when I have the time XD I always wanted to do a video essay on Origins, buuut, idk, idk how to present it. I mean :D When it comes to the DC authors, there are 3 versions of what's happening - either they truly do ship them together in a romantic way, or they make them say romantic things to point out how twisted their relationship is, or they make them say gay things because they're just shitposting :D And I'm sure the Arkham devs are the second case. I mean, if you've ever played Origins, you know what I'm talking about. That game did the "twisted fairytale love" perfectly. They're not shipping them in a romantic sense, but they're building them an iconic relationship for narrative purposes

Smith) all said, that their version of Joker is homosexual - because that's how they interpreted Joker's obsession with Batman. Then there are people like Moore, Marini or Snyder where I'm not sure, because I've seen "proofs" that go both ways. (Snyder ships them as a joke, Marini ships them for cloud and Moore is just generally insane) Brian Azzarello DEFINITELY ships batjokes tho, in "City of lights" he made Joker proclaim his love to Batman - which doesn't have to be understood as romantic - but when you look at his other work - Batman Damned or Flashpoint - you can see he's all over batjokes :D He made them kiss in Flashpoint, arguments are invalid. It's heterosexual batjokes, but still batjokes.
