I believe this character in the comics was Jean, Jeannie or something like that. In the "memories" from The Killing Joke, wasn't that woman supposed to be his wife or partner? I remember she was pregnant and she was supportive of him. The only one who laughed at his jokes (even when he was being serius and not joking at all). I believe she was later killed so he could cooperate in the whole Red Hood thing from that time. (Then again, was that a real memory? Or just BS? That's the thing). The movie could take something from that. So I share the opinion she's going to be colateral damage to push him even further. It's looking really interesting.

@@shionkazami Her name was Jeannie, and she was his (at the time) pregnant wife who stuck with him through thick and thin. She did die, though it was originally stated to have been in a household accident right after she'd convinced him not to go through with helping mobsters break into his former workplace. I think she was intentionally murdered in Batman: Gotham Knights by a corrupt police officer, but I could be wrong! Point is, you're definitely onto something. Zazie might really be Joaquin's Jeannie in this movie, or at least his love interest who will likely watch him lose touch with reality and not be able to help him in that regard.

Man this films gonna break some people. It’s one of those movies that when you first hear about it your like, “Eh, I don’t really see this doing very well” and then you see the first trailer and your like, “hmmm, well that’s different, this could be good” and now after this there is no doubt in my mind that it’s going to be a fantastic movie. It’s dark theme and realistic portrayal of a mans descent into madness will bring a connection to the character like we’ve never had before. Heath Ledgers Joker is fantastic but we never got to see what made him the character he was. With this film a deeper connection can be made that we haven’t had before. I can’t wait. Another great review gentlemen

People that are used to watch only Marvel and this shallow stuff, are not used to feel any emotions deeply anymore. This scares them, and that is why society is sick nowadays: People don't want to feel, people just want to cope. And I am really surprised how everyone wants to blame movies to show the dark side of our nature... But we have a choice to be concious about it or to be coward and go mad (like Joker did, for example). We are not babies (the world is not PG-13). Art is only a mirror of our own angels and devils. Deal with it, feel in it and learn from it.

The clowns have it! Between Joker and IT 2 the clowns are serial killers who scare us most by what we can become....it only takes a push at the right time to tip - to have a psychotic break or turn from losers into the ones who try to save the town.

Thank you for not complaining about how it doesn't seem to have a lot of action and violence... I love the very dark, sinister and menacing route they're going with this and Joaquin is going to kill it! This is a completely new portrayal of the Joker and I'm loving what I see. Not to mention Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix were very good friends so I feel he will fill this role very well and Heath would be very proud. *I see Pheonix winning an Oscar in my crystal ball* 🔮👍👏✊

i want this to be soo good. I'm glad the trailer does repeat some clips from the teaser trailer as not to give it all away. Now, i dont pay for a cinema because here in the UK, its super expensive to watch a fricking film. Some days they have cheaper tickets days. But i would spend to watch this movie. So be good.

Watching all the trailers and many reactions gave the impression that, since no one could ever agree on the origin off the Joker, they literally took the best of every origin story and forged it all together in a single one. There is a little truth in every lie as they say, and I have a feeling they collected and assembled all truths from all lies together with this origin story. Superb trailer.

Writing the Joker as a sympathetic bad guy, is very similar to Thano’s where you almost....almost have to root for the “bad” guy. Very interesting twists.
