The fact that they kept trying to hide the fact that it was a musical means that somebody knew it was a bad idea but the first one made so much money they didnt wanna interfere with the director. WB showed restraint the one time they shouldn’t have

When did they ever hide that it was musical? It was literally announced when the very first trailed released like 2 years ago …….
@RM908553 ай бұрын
@@johnnyfentry7050to be fair, the first time I saw the trailer, it was not obvious that it was a musical. I remember hearing some dialogue but no music or songs during the trailer. But eventually it did come out that it was a musical. So they didn’t necessarily hide it, but they also weren’t very informative about it either lol. The amount of people who had no idea it was a musical goes to show how little they advertised that. It was definitely marketed as a normal movie for the most part.

I did not mind it. Some of the musical stuff was part of what was going on in his head. This movie was about his mental illness. Also it did go into what happen to him. The first one was different so i don’t understand how people didn’t think this was going to be outside of the box.

I saw it and really enjoyed the movie. The name of it says it all. I means a delusion shared by two. The intro scene kinda explained the movie and shared a duality with those who saw the first movie and hated this one. The characters in the movie did to Arthur the same thing as people who saw the movie are doing to the movie itself... turned away due to the lack of sensationalism. I really dont want to give away the plot, but it made sense to me. Hopefully, you'll do a spoilercast on it.

People keep saying this as if the movie’s this deep commentary on our culture. Nah, trash writing is trash writing. The musical numbers are unremarkable and constantly disrupt any building tension while serving as filler for a lazy screenplay that doesn’t bother to develop its characters

That's fine but don't use the Joker name then, it's misleading and the only reason the film did so well initially. If the film was called Arthur it may have done well but the main reason for it's success was because it was linked to the Joker
