That part also got me. How do you make the character regress when the entire point of the first movie was to see why he rose in the first place? It's so counterintuitive! These people should really get major fans who "get it" to be involved in a very early conceptual version of this type of movie so it can be saved before it is even made. @@spill1t One lame justification I tend to see with these kinds of films (revolving around villains) is that people want to say, "But the audience won't want to cheer for the villain." Like, dumbass, that's what we signed up for! We do want the villain to be the villain that we are fans of! The first movie ended perfectly with showing us that "Arthur Fleck" is no more. It's just the Joker. Going back on it instead of going full speed ahead is massively frustrating.

There's nothing wrong with it been a musical per se. An animated episode of Batman with Joker and Harley in Arkham doing musical numbers is about as legit as it could get. And people would wank themselves over it. Problem with this type of film is they use preexisting songs and ham fist them in. If they focused on making Lady Gaga become Harley Quinn, and by the end get Joker out of Arkham, from his court sentencing with a sludge hammer hitting the side of the police van escorting Joker back to Arkham with both of them skipping off into the dark fog eerily laughing and leave it there, I think be alot better. First Joker was solid, and honestly the trailer to this made me ponder... why? I'll probably just wait for it to go on Netflix or something.

The original Taxi Driver was a much better movie for me, the reason Todd's remake made so much box office is because he just changed Travis Bickle to Joker and everyone fell for it. Next we'll get remakes of Dirty Harry, French Connection, Scarface, Escape from NY, The Shining but with the main characters switched out with namable super heroes / villains so that studios feel comfortable enough to greenlight them.

GI Joe the animated movie. Ok, I was at a gaming convention and at those they often have a movie room. You can just walk in, buy a box of popcorn and sit down after gaming, as in Magic the Gathering or D&D. Anyway, me and my friends watched Transformers the movie first...the hero AND the villain DIE in the first ten minutes! WOW! Ok, so, we're set for a more adult GI Joe tale. It's violent, sure, with punches and even some blood. But, Serpentor fights Duke...oh man, this is going to be good! Serpentor stabs Duke in the chest with a snake frozen in the form of a dagger and runs off. Scarlett and the Joe's come up and are slack jawed...is Duke dead? Scarlett examines him and..."He's in a coma!" The audience GROANED and laughed. So, yep, the most disappointing movie for me was GI Joe, the animated movie!

Alien 3, Jaws 3, Jaws 4, any Pet Sematary movie other than the original one which I liked, POTC 4, most of the DC movies made in this century, and of course all things Star Wars AFTER the greedy woke rat company RUINED it!!! I’ve been advocating for two years that they should’ve done this in the spirit of Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo and called it Jokerin’ 2: Arkham Doodledoo featuring the full rogues gallery taking over the asylum and staging an epic “breakout” death match tourney, culminating in a bloody climactic pop n lock finale between Team Chuckles (Joker, Harley, Ventriloquist, Mad Hatter) versus Team Knuckles (Killer Croc, Bane, Clayface, Mr. Freeze). Given breakdancing’s renaissance this summer thanks to Raygun (who could’ve totally made a cameo with a smartly edited reshoot), this film would’ve crushed at the beatbox office. Nobody ever listens.

…they took away his character development? The entire journey of madness. The skipping DOWN the stairs instead of trudging up them. The confident/changed version of himself being interviewed at the end that sings “that’s life” where he may or may not have killed her and ran out of Arkham. All of that. And here in the sequel he’s the confident joker… sometimes 😒 Stupid decision

To answer the most disappointing movie question... Idk if it's my most of all time but... Creed 3. The first movie was one of the best movies of the 21st century. Period. The second movie was a super faithful Rocky/Creed Sequel. The third movie is just terrible. In practically every manner. Weak villain. A weak script. No Rocky cameo (he should have been at that funeral). And a movie that feels like they cut out half the movie in the edit. And a final fight sequence that looked like a first year film student was handed millions of dollars in a production Budget. Not every Rocky movie is great... But Creed 3 is just genuinely awful. Super disappointed by that one.

It's like everyone saw the suicide squad movie and thought "this is how Harley is from now on" I remember the trope in Arkham Asylum, where Harley was genuinely a solid antagonist. Yeah, Joker was just using her the whole time, but...that's the only really good version of Harley. A depiction of a woman whose so in love with a man that the man can literally make her do all of these crazy things to other people, For Him. You take away the evil man, what is there? A character that never really learns her own well...character. Do women always need to be used by men to have plots? No, but it's always been Harley's problem. Every time she breaks out on her own, she doesn't feel helpful. Kinda like Rebecca in Cyberpunk, all she really knows how to do is get pissed, and we'll, everyone can do that, it's not a super power to be angry in the DC Universe. It just isn't. How to fix her character? I don't know, make her more like Joker? If Joker uses people to get what he wants, why shouldn't Harley? Why is it whenever she is using people, it's for Joker?
