04:08 Bojan saying Börek is actually Turkish put a smile on my face, i love that :) No offense my Bosnian brothers and sisters tho 🇹🇷💖🇧🇦 Balkan Cuisine has mixed so much in the Ottoman Empire that now it is kinda impossible to find out which food/meal belongs to whom, for example he called feta cheese greek but don't ever say that near a Turk 😬 Let's just label those foods/meals as "Balkan" and move on with our lives :)
@sayo_5494 Жыл бұрын
as a turkish myself its a known thing to say a lot of countries foods mixed up because we all have very similar cultures and people. a lot of, or i can say the "im not gonna agree" people thinks that other places stole but we all live so close and its funny that with 1-2 words the names are the same. so i'd prefer you to not say "dont say that near (technically every) turk."
@turkishissunlanguage Жыл бұрын
@@sayo_5494 so you as a Turk are saying that people should not generalize those foods as "turkish", but you are aware that some nations such as greeks (and even albanians and serbs) would go crazy if you said gyros is actually doner, cevapi is actually kebab/köfte or yoghurt, baklava etc. is actually turkish, right? why do you think the usa, thus the world sees the yoghurt as greek? Because of Turks like *you* who see no problem when people generalize these foods as "greek" or anything other than Turkish (such as how the Japanese see yoghurt as being Bulgarian) We Turks cannot market/label our products outside as being Turkish and then we play the "friendly guy" saying "oh these foods are the same around the balkans so no need to generalize the x food as being Turkish" meanwhile other balkan nations already generalized some balkans food as being only greek, only serbian, only bulgarian etc (such as yoghurt=greek/bulgarian, cevapi =serbian/bosnian, raki=serbian, borek =bosnian etc.) and all we can do afterwards is either to cry behind them or to say "oh but these foods were already present among many nations so we shouldn't ask to generalize these foods as *only* being Turkish" 🤦🏼♀️
@sayo_5494 Жыл бұрын
@@turkishissunlanguage i didnt even say "dont generalize those foods as turkish". I said dont generalize turkish *people* by saying " dont say that near a turk" Not all turkish people are like that. So u didnt even had to write a big paragraph. *and* im not playing the friendly guy. Sooo you get it. And just think. Why they(the big shiny governments) dont want it to be turkish? So i assume that you understood and im not going around here discussing this. Every country who assume its theirs would be annoyed. What you say is actually right, like i agree with you so its a misunderstanding that is cuz i didnt include that a part. Different topics.
