I love the Joker laugh from Mark Hamill and Kevin Michael Richardson Hamill: best combination of "intelligence" and "insanity", pure evil - more like a serious villain with an villainous sense of humor Richardson- change in octave, pure insanity, funny - more like a comedy character while still dangerous but less serious than Hamil. Kevin Michael Richardson has always been one of my favourite jokers (unpopular opinion, I know) but the thing that always bothered me about him was how his voice would alternate from the Joker character to his real voice at random, this video is a perfect example of it as it shows his high pitched joker laugh multiple times but it also shows him laugh in his real life deep voice that sounds nothing like you'd expect the joker to sound

My only problem with Kevin Richardson's Joker laugh is that it hardly varies. It's mostly the same laugh all the time. It's GOOD, don't get me wrong, but it's the same note over and over. With Mark Hamill's Joker, he freaking played that laugh like a stradivarius! :D I think John DiMaggio got the whole "playing the laugh to the moods" more like Hamill did, and did it well, but it's a little jarring to go from either Hamill's or Richardson' performance to his because his voice (and laugh) are significantly deeper in tone. He can't seem to hit the high notes as well. Still - all three are great performances! (But my favorite will always be Hamill. :D )

Most people don't know this but every time the joker laughs, it's always an audio recording of the first laugh that is always re-played and tuned differently later for every time the joker laughed. So that way the voice actor didn't have to laugh every single time he was told to do so, unless there's slightly different laugh that needs to be made every once in awhile.
