idk, Jokic also has a lot of that competitive dog in him, and winning a chip doesn't seem to mean thaaaat much to him, so I don't see him losing his edge and getting complacent just because he already won one. To achieve what he's achieved so far he can't just be a genius or a hard worker, he also has to be an elite competitor. Just look at how he plays, part of why he's so good is that his style places winning over anything else, he cares about winning. But hey, maybe he can get his fix for competing through his horse cart racing thing, lmao, so who knows?

Jokic had way better numbers and played in more games. It wasn't even close. Embiid is an incredible player but Jokic dragged a squad of G-League bums into the playoffs with two max contract guys on the shelf for the whole season (technically Porter played 9 games, but he was awful). The Nuggets fans had to watch 60+ games of Facundo Campazzo, who is legitimately the worst player in the NBA who played at least 500 minutes.

Better than Embiid's for steals, deflections, fouls committed, charges taken, defensive rebounds, defensive win shares, DWAR, defensive box plus minus, total defensive RAPTOR, on/off defensive RAPTOR, box score RAPTOR, contested shots per game, second chance points allowed per game, etc. They had the exact same defensive rating for the regular season. Embiid led Jokic in blocks, field goal percentage allowed in the paint (Jokic beat him outside the paint), and defensive loose balls. Jokic led him in every other category they keep stats for.
