You to Have to go to the npc to claim all achievement rewards, now you can do it through the list which is a lot easier.

Antelope Stag is a big one that should have been on this list, it's only 1k on the marketboard, you could buy it within like an hour of starting a new character easily (not that you could use it until msq anyway)

@@archevenault Antelope Stag isnt even from restoration, it is just for participating in the fetes. You can literally get more than one after all 5 events are done. This should be down to vendor price on every server.

I still love my behemoth mount and use it a lot to this day. I don't care how easy it is to get. It was the first real badass mount I ever got in this game, And I'm a huge final fantasy nerd. So seeing behemoth, (and all the awesome ff refs and people and items and lore) throughout the whole game) is just the coolest thing ever I swear. Still proud to call it mine(: My sick dark night and reaper glams fit it so well too.

Very good video, short and concise. Actually, when I started 6 months ago, I was still in the middle of ARR MSQ and I was looking to get a new mount and on the sprout channel, people only told me about the unicorn. On youtube, it was the same. It is good to have a guide that actually tells you there are mounts you can buy from the market board for example. So this is the best beginner mount guide. I might have added the reputation mount maybe. It takes a little bit of time, but not as much as the achievement mounts, and people can start farming these quite early, while doing their MSQ.

I'm sure someone may have mentioned it previously, but that flying chair is a craftable mount, so thats a possible route to obtain it too... there is also a craftable flying chair mount too.

One small thing to note for those who are unaware- *every* Expansion has Extreme Mounts + the Union Mounts. For Stormblood, it's the Kamuys("Doggos")+ Ninetails, for Shadowbringers it's Gwibers. I am currently unaware of Endwalker's, as at the current time not all Extremes are released, I believe.

"Nightmare" is possible : I farmed and got it 2 days ago by ONLY killing Garuda 27 times in a row (Garuda is the easiest EX-primal for a lvl 90 dps job - each kill ~ 1 min)

lvl90 tank can kill garuda in 27sec, I'd reckon DPS even quicker although not by much due to the animation locks going on.

Guys lmao. My clear times are like 9-13 seconds. Use blue mage combo 😂 And install the game on an SSD. With load times included I can farm Garuda ex with blue mage combo about 3 times per minute.

If you follow the events for all those different allagan tome currencies, you can get neat mounts for just grinding dungeons and then spending tomes at the moogle trader. Generally good idea to keep an eye for limited time things such as that to get yourself some cool stuff.

The flying chair is craftable. The flying bed is craftable and therefore in the MB too, though in my DC where prices are said to be low, it’s still kinda pricy.

Given this was put out two weeks ago, I'm surprised the Kamuy's aren't listed. It's the same thing with the Lanners and Horses, you collect all 7 Kamuy's and you can get the special Nine Tails Kamuy. Supposedly, sometime in the coming EW patches, we're supposed to be able to get a special mount for having all the special mounts from the xpac trials (hw, stb, shb). Also, Nightmare mount isn't really that 'rare' anymore, I don't think. I was soloing the HW trials for my Wonderous Tails book and I dropped Nightmare whistle 3 times as well as their other horse mounts.

I did the horse mounts solo (except for the Whorleater Ex one, I got that with moogle tomestones). The nightmare mount dropped early on for me. If you are doing the 6 Ex trials solo, which means repeatedly, I'd think you'd have a good chance of getting it.

Great video. I managed to get all the ARR horses including nightmare literally within 24 hours of farming and doing all the quests I needed to actually unlock the Extreme raids. The drop rates are far more generous than I expected they would be. In total I got 12 mounts from going by this video. Any other sprouts out there should give this a shot. I'm level 83 and half my gear is green/white level 80 items and still did this with ease.

I can confirm that you do NOT need to unlock WHM to get the Unicorn, but you do need to have all the CNJ quests done. After doing the level 30 CNJ quest, I got the unicorn, and then unlocked WHM after.

I'm level 69/item level 255 (basically in HW, will soon get HW Poetics gear and then nothing for a while as I have to get to SB for better gear) as a paladin. No, you can farm anything that you can do yourself in an unrestricted party. You can even do it to complete Khloe's wondrous tails, which makes them incredibly easy to complete.

@@KHMDarkness Here's the trick I use to finish Khloe's wondrous trials. There's pretty much always at least one extreme ARR trial on there, so you figure out which one's fastest--Ultima Weapon EX only takes about 30 seconds for example--and then you do that. Then you mark the duty off as complete in the journal, click second chance, then retry and then you select the trial you just did. This will spend a second chance point and unclear the duty you just did, instead marking something else as cleared. This way, you can just do the same 30 second trial 9 times in order to finish the whole journal. Takes like 20 minutes at most.

@@LazzyVamples That's brilliant...! I've done some of it so far, but I found out that you really can't do lvl 70 or higher by yourself, at least not as a DPS. And the Normal Savage Raids are impossible too, since the bosses can still one hit kill you, or damn near it. You might be able to do it with two people though. Same with some of the harder raids. Also, I found that the Savage Trial for the Knights (Forgot the name of it) is almost impossible, since the boss uses a move after a certain point that more damage than you have for health. At least some of them are possible by one player! I want those mounts! XD

@@KHMDarkness Yeah, there are a few fights that have instant kill mechanics that apply regardless of your level or stats. Some are still not able to be solo'd for this reason. Others CAN be, but are exceptionally hard.

Nightmare is a lot easier to farm for these days. Granted I had an idea of how to absolutely maximize my damage as quickly as possible on SMN for exactly one run to achieve it, I cleared Garuda EX in 13 seconds. My actual average was under a minute, but under a minute still means I can do 60 runs in an hour more or less.

I got lucky back when I farmed it (somewhere on the way to 80) and dropped it from Titan, thinking it was his pony until I realized it was an extra mount and had to go back to Titan to get my Kirin...

I must have just gotten extremely lucky. I started out as a Conjurer and got the Unicorn mount quest as soon as it was available. I didn't know you had to do it without your soul stone equipped, so I must have just been in the right place and the right time to spot the quest available.
