Gut-wrenching for Simon. His only "errors" in the round came from not being able to throw a forehand on 13 due to elbow pain and getting shot down by some freak wind on 18.

I just have to say this was one of the best rounds, and coverage of said round I've seen. I watched it live yesterday, but was so looking forward to watching it again today with my Jomez buddies! You did not disappoint. Please don't let the REALLY loud voices coming from amateur KZbinr's change anything about what you guys do. You listen to the fans and give us what we want. This was all around perfect. Players doing amazing things, 3-way tie on 18 with an eagle needed for the win, amazing camera/ mic work, clean editing, distinct graphics, and concise, entertaining, and informative commentary. You really are the gold standard of DG coverage. We love it, don't stop. P.S. Uli might just be the best thing to walk into a commentary trailer ever. Most everyone you've had is really good, but him in that color commentator role is magic. He's like a faux-hawked unicorn that craps golden mystery eggs. When you crack em, you either laugh, learn, or just scratch your head. It's so good.

My heart breaks for Simon on 18 and that approach and first putt attempt on 18 for Calvin was a killer. Calvin has won his big tourney last year, and Simon will get his soon enough the way he is putting together strong lines of consecutive birds out there. Hey, regardless of the short comings, HELL of a show by Nikko! Incredible disc golf all around and the drives on the par 3’s truly saved him. To think he had that OB drive and bounced back for par on the par 5 hole early in the round, that was some really great golf he put together in this tournament. If Calvin could’ve cleaned up either of the bogey’s he unfortunately had and birdied one or came out even on both of em, it was all his. CONGRATS TO NIKKO! Can’t wait to see the next tournament coverage. Also, honorable mention for Emerson Keith. He was blazing hot in the final round. Great job to all the players! Keep up the amazing work and see you in the next one!!

He’s been around a while at this point. Always a top 10 in the world player, often a top 5. He’s usually around 1040 rated (super elite), and he’s always playing for the fans. He throws big and takes a lot of jaw dropping lines on his throws. He likes giving everyone a show. Very cool dude. What has prevented him from winning a world title or more major events is his showmanship and lack of ability to make conservative decisions at times, but he knows and admits it. He’s working on that. Hope this helps! But, yes, he’s a problem haha

I just know after watching his and calvins identically thrown drives on 18 he was wondering why he couldnt catch a break. Also not having a sidearm for that one par 3 probably is a bunmer, cause what’s he supposed to do, injure himself worse? But he might have won if he pulled it off, those are the ones that hurt so much when you just think if you could just have all your tools available to you you could win but youre handcuffed to one shot (no overhead shots either)

I don't mind his temper so much, but I don't like slow players. Someone should have been there with a clock and time his throws. Regularly close to 1 minute insted of 30 seconds. Someone says so what. I wonder if those people have ever been in a tournament where group coming from behind has caught group ahead already on the 3rd hole and on 12th tee there is 5 groups at same time because one group is playing so slowly and 7-8 empty holes in front. Yeah, no one comes behind a lead card, but why should lead card have different rules than others?

@@kimmomatikainen1843 because its the lead card on the pro tour in the last round in a rlly tight match. i see what you mean but the other card members didn't seem to mind and i wouldn't say he went outrageously over the time limit on most throws. imagine winning a massive tournament and playing really good but then you get dq'ed because you took 15 seconds too long to putt....

@@chadritchie3359 i agree that he should have been warned for cursing. and you could argue that he should be warned for time since both violations require the player to be warned first. I dont think he went far enough over the limit on almost all the throws to get a penalty throw (because they probably would give him that unless it was really obvious) and as nobody was timing (probably)it would have been hard to provebecause it wasnt like he went super far over the limit. the rule states that a player has taken excessive time if they are present and have not thrown within 30 seconds after: The previous player has thrown; and, They have had a reasonable amount of time to arrive at and determine the lie; and, They are next in the throwing order; and, The playing area is clear and free of distractions. so it also depends where you are timing from because if you are timing from when the camera cut to him or when he got his disc out and his lie marked. which would cut down the "minute+" which seems like an exaggeration to me.

Smart play by Simon on 14. He was wise not to go for the putt. He ends up gaining a stroke on Calvin and is showing some real maturity.

late to the show, but was watching and thinking how cool it would be to maybe in between holes to see how the course navigates from tee pad to tee pad in some sort of way, or to maybe see a topical layout of the course. just a thought, love what yall do for us fans.

22:25 Damn dude took a whole yao Ming step off that tee. I saw Paige Peirce take a step off the side of a tee once and she was penalized. Can't believe he didn't get a penalty. Did anyone else see that? Both feet were in front of the tee.

One of the bests rounds of disc golf I've seen in a while. Nikko having two -15 rounds prior. Calvin with a course record -17 in round two to tie him going into round 3. Simon goes -13 first two rounds and then has a better round in worse conditions. The only thing that would have made this even better would be if Simon was at full strength (no elbow pain) or made the Eagle on Hole 18 to force the playoff.

If Nikko didn't whine so much when he doesn't win I might have actually enjoyed seeing him win. I lost a lot of respect for him last year at the GMC when I heard him complaining about not being able to beat McBeth.

So disappointed Simon didn't get a better result on his drive on 18. Oh well, Simon is still the man! ...when Paul isn't playing. Great win Nikko! Love his enthusiasm for the game and his competitive spirit. Thanks JomezPro for the coverage! 1 last thing, I didn't see the STARFRAME animation on 18. Just want to make sure you guys made the donation. :P

So glad to be watching Jomez again! I'm a little behind, but this last round especially the back nine was intense, yet everyone seemed to be having fun. This is a great example of the sport and it's refreshing to see a close final card, instead of a dude that's just crushing and everyone is playing for second. That's going to happen too, and I still enjoy watching, but these types of cards are my favorite. Simon had some good comments on the tournament as well if you have seen those. Thanks Jomez!
