You have got to be pretty naive to think this is because it's prodigy. Spit outs like that happen all the time on other basket and people don't bitc* about it, just because it became fashionable to hate Prodigy because every community has people who like to spread hate whenever they can. Watch some spit out compilations and count how many of those baskets are prodigy. And how many baskets spit out just like prodigy.

Isaac's put was high and AGAINST the wind. After that disc hit the chains probably 10mph of wind pushed it back with the chaind. Gannon sliced it through the basket because it was on angle, that happens on EVERY basket so stop crying about prodigy

They should just tighten up the specs for tour certified baskets. I could imagine someone is already on it, but it's a slow and ongoing process because there needs to be done a lot of testing and the sport is still in it's infancy, so not a lot of money goes in that direction. There is also something to be said for a softer putt. I mean, ballgolfers can't just put at Mach 5 and expect the ball to drop in the hole. I don't know which side I stand on really - I think coincidence make it seem like a lot of putts we're dropped by baskets lately. Mainly because so many of the top players putt hard. You don't see Calvin spitting put too often though. So maybe putting style is also a factor. Imagine rethinking the target completely. Just making E-baskets that have sensors that detect whether disc hit the target area. It would probably change the sport too much. Can't give up the "ching" sound really can you? 😁

@@joeallen6066ya I agree look at isaacs head wind putt that came back at him. He lofted it and the wind kept it high enough to go in. A slow putt and it came right back. Prodigy officially sucks and I hope they r shitting their pants as they see this on lead card of day 1 with the top 3 players this season

The chains are the most expensive material in manufacturing baskets, I can see how manufacturers could use lighter chain to save money. Maybe the tour should bring their own baskets to use at tour events to guarantee the highest quality targets?

Uli having chain out discussions on podcasts and then having to be silent on video is priceless. Prodigy baskets are the worst though. The extra linkages cause the chains to transfer their energy more as a single unit. More chain slap outs and more cut thrus result because the initial contact energy is still bouncing around in the system

High center soft into a head wind, so it hit the chains nose up and the wind pushed it out with the chains. It can happen in windy conditions.

With all thanks to tournament organizers for what they do, when you go to paint OB lines, maybe paint them or string them near "natural OB" such that it's going to benefit the player, i.e. on the other side of the railroad ties on 14 such that if someone, to all outward appearances gets lucky, it's not then overturned. Sucks for the player and it's a let-down for the spectators IMO.
