Top Jomo's credit, after Ace scored a hat trick against Pele's Santos team at his peak Pele went to play for Santos in retirement. Jomo who came as a sub was his teammate. Pele was so enchanted with Jomo style of play that he(Pele) said: People think football is from Brazil, no football is from South Africa. After first playing against Ace, then later playing with Jomo.

After all, I like Jomo a lot. When he coached Bafana at South Korea 2002 World Cup I met and discussed soccer with him. Why he dropped Dr Khumalo for 1998 Afcon was very vindictive. But you are still Prince Jomo.

Ace played against Pele' before and scored a hattrick. When the excited Pele met Jomo, the first question he asked was do you know Ace. Later on Pele said football is in South Africa not Brazil. Do you want more info?

He doesn't mention Ace Ntsoelengoe who got him to go overseas. Ace was two years older. Those four goals he scored, all of them were created by Ace. He recruited to Toronto Blizzards, Ace became a regular in the team while Jomo warmed the bench. Jomo was a perrenial bench warmer. He indirectly confirm this by saying I came from the bench. Ace met Pele before whilst Pele was still playing for Santos at his peak not retired in New York Cosmos. Ace scored a hat trick against Santos team. Ace was inducted as one of 20 best players to play in NASL that included Franz Beckebauer. Jomo was not in the list. After all Jomo was a great player, Ace was better.
