Jon was band leader on the Stephen Colbert show for several years! He is made of music 🎶 it is in his veins, his family from New Orleans has been part of the music scene for ages!🎶❤️‍🔥 He has won several Grammy’s in the past few years 🥰. Jon always looks good 💓

I believe Jon Baptiste grew up doing 2nd line with his family in New Orleans -- starting at a very young age (under 10). Definitely a love letter to his hometown and 2nd line musicians.

This was fantastic!! Jon Batist was also the band leader on Stephen Colbert's show for a long time. He's also a top-notch jazz pianist and composer, I'd recommend checking out more of his instrumental work.

Jon Batiste holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Juilliard in jazz studies/music. He is a piano virtuoso. In 2022 he received the most Grammy nominations --eleven (won five) in six different categories, a first in Grammy history, including jazz, American roots, and classical. Won an Oscar (2021), Golden Globe, Critics Choice, BAFTA, NAACP Image Award for composing jazz compositions in Disney's pixar movie "Soul." The animators used his hands playing the piano as the prototype for the main character in the film. Won an Emmy for 2022 television commercial "NCAA March Madness: NOLA Vibes featuring Jon Batiste." Won VMA (2023) for his collaboration with Lana Del Rey for "Candy Necklace." He is a phenomenal talent.

"Andre 3000, Cee-Lo meets Kirk Franklin" - damn, you hit the nail on the head! The chant of "It's alright" in the background sounds like Andre 3000. So much so I checked the booklet from the CD and....nope. No credit to him given, so it either was Jon channeling Andre or Andre 3000 was uncredited...
