Alhumdulilah I was a D1 athlete who almost went to a military academy to become an officer at one of the military branches I was accepted to via West Point, Naval Academy, Merchant Marines, and the Coast Guard Academy. I got the letters from the senators and passed all the requirements to become an officer in the military. I eventually didn’t peruse it and lead a civilian life, later I also converted to Islam Alhumdulilah. There are beautiful people everywhere, including America. Imagine how the prophet felt. Isolated, embattled, you name it. For 40 years before he assumed prophethood officially. On top of that, he lost all of his children at a young age except his beloved daughter fatima. He still retained his faith. Is it no wonder he possessed the traits of a prophet? Who would have such patience? Most people either commit suicide or even wage war against God. Imagine the perseverance and will power it took and on top of that he still held on to a faith in the Almighty before he received revelation. Famous narration the prophet said to his uncle: ”Oh uncle, by God, if they put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left on the condition that I leave this matter until God makes it victorious, or I perish in it, I will not leave it.”

You probably won’t see this comment but thank you everyone in this video. It’s almost making me cry. As a Muslim in the Quran we are taught that terrorists cannot even identify as Muslim, that the degree to cutting down a tree in war is forbidden. The real Muslims try our best to showcase this through our character as we are ambassadors for our faith in the western world. Mac & Bibi are a perfect example of this demonstration through their character.
@sparrow3491
@sparrow3491 2 жыл бұрын
we don't need to defend and justify Islam, we already know who the real terorrists are. the media wanted a black sheep and that's how we ended up here and many bought into it others found Islam. it's getting old people have their own brain to do some simple research or even read the quran. take it or leave it. at the end of the day they might have made their mind up already.

@@soroushbakhshi6647 I do know as I am a Muslim. I have literally quoted the Quran. Terrorists are not a part of the faith. Those that kill innocents are not a part of the faith. It’s very clear cut. This is a point many choose to ignore when creating a villain image of Islam in the world.
@Jamalk96
@Jamalk96 2 жыл бұрын
@@hollandiamsterdam913 anyone killing innocents and attempting to claim they kill in the name of Islam is doing a injustice to the faith and is not deemed a Muslim. It is quoted in the Quran if you are to kill one person it as if you have killed the whole of mankind. Unfortunately these quotes of the Quran never get as much attention as they rightly should. Instead quotes from moments in the prophet Mohammed (pbuh) life when he was instructed to defend his people in a last resort war are used instead. Context is so important when reading or assessing anything. Been a Muslim all my life, I don’t endorse 9/11 or 7/7, the taliban or isis.

Honestly don’t know if there’s anything after this life, everything us humans are is just a societal construct, we’re just bags of meat like every other animal. No demons, no god, these are all just coping mechanisms for the fear of death that the earlier humans made up, or maybe even the elites. God being real would be cool, but nothing points to that being true, quite the opposite actually on how cruel and strange this world is.

I totally agree with you on this prospective, but my friend, the horrific part of this is that it's extremely rare to find people like him to admit their wrong doings and to share the purity of what they received of kindness and care. What horrifies me the most is how many of them actually killed people thinking they are evil, with a similar mentality. But you have to understand it was an invasion. Those Afghanis or Iraqis were merely trying to defend their lives and families. To be thought of as mere evil creatures by a superior military force and to be destroyed just for fighting back. It's beyond devastating. Imagine you're sitting at home eating some food with your family and all of a sudden your house is leveled onto dust, seeing your wife and children's pieces and blood everywhere.. how would you truly feel? Good or bad, what you your reason be at the point. This is what has been happening to Muslim countries. Please consider the human side of it first before you consider religion or any other propaganda. Because of someone threatens your freedom, home and family, you only have one way of reacting and that is absolute revenge. Unfortunately these political agendas have destroyed many lives and they do it so easily without any remorse, yet the only ones effected are the people who are on the battlefield.

This man tried to commit terrorism against Muslims yet there isn’t a single Muslim out there who has any ill will against this man for his old beliefs. This is the power of Islamic principles, once someone converts they are forgiven of all their sins.

The ex marine changed his views on Muslims & became one himself, well done for that. He says that when he was in the Corps that the Muslims were trying to kill him & his group, what he should have thought was the marines are the invaders in Iraq, Afghanistan etc. so the people who are trying to kill him have the same mindset as the soldiers invading their country. One side attacks the other side defends, this keeps on going until there is no one left alive.

The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. I think Mac through his combat experience, which I'm not gonna pretend to understand since I haven't been through it, it warped his mind, & even worse, his soul. That's not condemnation or judgment on him either. I think it's just human nature. The important part is he was able to break free of hatred. Not many have the balls & strength of character to do so.

Over the years of hearing about conflicts, and making up toxic perceptions of the opposition as a singular hostile entity, like a race or organization, things like wars and political movements have taught me that declaring and resolving conflicts affects everyone aside from the fighters. I've learned to focus my anger and hate towards individuals like bullies and abusers that directly hurt me, instead of waving and pointing my blaming finger at a whole group they may be a part of for my suffering.

It amazes me how Allah SWT can soften a hard heart and being noor into someone’s heart. Even that Dutch guy who was Wilders right hand man became Muslim after years of slander against it. Stories like these just remind me of how the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW made dua for either Hadhrat Umar RA or Abu Lahab/Jahl to become muslim and Allah SWT granted their prayer for Hadhrat Umar RA. For me, this is the same for all the reverts. Allah SWT guides whom they will.

Education is the key to all life. Al Qaeda in Bosnia had a very small training camp for a few people. That camp was purposely set up to capture latent terrorists who would like to join al Qaeda. Terrorist camp set up as bait. It is true that al-Qaeda members came to Bosnia in the 1990s to try to expand their influence, but they failed. They never succeeded.

@LeCorruptor no sir, life went way wrong when I did it my way. I gave my life to god drunk on the side of the road in Texas with a bottle of wild Turkey between my legs. I hated God and the thought of Jesus. Grew up in a stepfamily that was prominent in our church, elders even all the wild molesting us kids... then go sing about Jesus hours later. Wicked. God told me on the side of the road. " you have defined me off the sins of man claiming my name, not for who I am." He was right, I studied the Bible for myself and my life has never been the same. Even experienced dreams, demons and angels. Again, I didn't change me, Jesus and what he did on the cross didn't just change me it saved me. If you don't believe that, I still love ya and wish you the best. Truly from my heart.

I grew up in Bloomington, Indiana. In the 80s there was less Islamaphobia. Mac's story reminds me of the Malcolm X book and movie where the guy runs in the restaurants trying to Talk to Malcolm X. he says "I want to be a Muslim" Malcolm asks him if he knows what being a Muslim is. The young guy says 'no'. he tells him to go read Quran and find out about it before committing to it. he invites him to his sermons. That is how people should teach others. Learn it first before committing to it. It's not an easy commitment.
