Rigolets is a Place between Lake Pontchartrain to the left, the Gulf of Mexico to the right, Pearl River above and had endless miles of canals and bayous. South of Slidell La. North of New Orleans East. My favorite place on earth. This is about a place on a canal or the Gulf, a place that is a "shotgun shack," "two homes attached side by side that looks like one long home, or a "camel back", a long home that rises to two floors 1/2 way back, overlooking all the above. He says the camelback has a "side shack", the shotgun has a "yard out back" One line is "Rusty freight ship from an ocean far away, cast long shadows on my back porch, it's that time of day" He puts you there on the porch in the evening.

i love this part but i don't clearly get the word before "blowing through my banana tree". does he say "Rigolets"? That's what i seem to hear!!! Is Rigolets a canal in Louisiana ,right?
