I have one today. I have noticed Jon provided little product placement in his book lol. Candy store I mean. Not surprising you advertising his work. It's a good book so far. Pretty in-depth despite picturesque format.

I ordered this book. I've always been a fan of Jon Duckett. I'm hoping he'll make an updated version of his javascript book since that language is still in high demand; (jquery not so much), but modern vanilla javascript still is.

Jon Duckett is the reason why I had to truly understand tags & attributes from he's HTML/CSS book He's JS/Jquery left my brains blown Been couting months for this book 'php/mysql' since jan 2022 I cant even explain the excitement of expectation im feeling right now Appreciation & Love from Africa (to the great author JD) 💥🙏

I remember that post I read on your website some time ago, and I was as disappointed as you were at that time. To be honest, I still have not finished the book: Javascript & jQwery, but I still have the intention to finish it, as I finished HTML & CSS design and build websites. Now, I'm as excited as you are to know that this great book is finally out. Thanks for the brief review. All the best, and happy coding! ;)

IMHO, it sucks, a lot of saying 0 doing, you don't do anything in that book every bit of codes is already written. I mean I am page 226 and not once I have put in application what I have learned since the beginning not a single challenge or exercise, this is a glorified php documentation. But if you like it, good for you.
@Javkillers Жыл бұрын
thats why im hesitant to buy this book since I liked the html one a lot but I didn't like the javascript one since there were no practical exercises, it was more like you say a documentation book
@howuseehim Жыл бұрын
@@Javkillers Combined with a good course the book is actually really good because well explained. Whenever you are facing a challenge you need to understand a certain topic I come back to it and go back to building something. But the book by itself won't chalenge you in any way, unfortunately.
