It is just now that got acquainted with Jon Gomm, and I must say... Does this guy have two brains or somethings? lol... I've listened to many fingerstyle guitarists but I never thought that the guitar could be played like this. Superbly great material :)

You really know how to handle that guitar, tune it to sound the way that suits your plaing, move your fingers, use technology (like realtime pitch-tools), and write great melodies. In this track you challenge the musically minded people, and you do it very well - and in the same time, this could be a hit-line. Respect, from a muscian to another musician. You are outstanding, sir.

@raskolnikov1873 Thanks! To answer your questions: I studied classical guitar from an early age, I had guitar lessons all through school then went on to The Guitar Institute in London, then Leeds College of Music to study jazz. The guitar is a Lowden O12, and the pickups are a Carlos Juan under-saddle, and a Fishman Rare Earth Blend.

Sing-along! They live in a lighthouse Where they keep each other safe and warm And wait the night out Til the morning crashes on the shore She finds the deepest grooves that cannot be resisted But you can’t force a man to listen Loveproof He says he loves her And he knows he’ll mean it some day soon The stars above her couldn’t make her feel any smaller So she will write a song where they can live together She’ll weave a tangled tune to bind forever Loveproof You can’t lead

Another beautifully melodic, floating, ethereal tune. You`ve changed my rather orthodox views on steel string acoustic guitar playing Jon. Previously I`ve respected the percussive, slap/tap players but haven`t really connected 100% with the tunes. Your playing seems to flow and dance. Not in a boring back ground music sort of way but more in the exciting tension similar to watching a tight rope walker a hundred metres above the ground kind of way. Lovely clip as well. Tony

Thanks for replying Jon. I first heard about you yesterday and it reminds me of when I first heard Tommy Emmanuel play: just jaw-dropping. It reaffirms my love of the instrument and convinces me again that the harmonic and expressive possibilities of the guitar are unlimited.
