My review based on the premiere episode THE GAME ITSELF: A Borrowing from the original format and "Password Plus" the producers put forth a solid presentation. They changed the scoring a bit but it works as just well. If the contestants are tied at one game apiece, there's a sudden death game revealing one pw at a time, a nice addition. The bonus game is a direct lift from PW Plus (Alphabetics) needing to get 10 passwords in one minute. In this new version, the contestant plays with both celebrities for 30 seconds each, which is a clever twist. Another plus is they pay homage to the classic Password set and shockingly brought back the original theme. Excellent job. THE HOST: C I find Keke Palmer annoying. She keeps the volume up and adds nothing to the presentation. She even used a double negative at one point! Allen Ludden, Tom Kennedy, and Bert Convy are doing simultaneous somersaults in their respective graves. A more refined and educated host would have been a better choice but political correctness and younger demos probably led to her hiring. THE AUDIENCE AND GENERAL PRODUCTION: C- Is it really necessary to hand the audience amphetamines when they enter the studio? It's a GAME SHOW for Chrissakes, not a Justin Bieber concert. What's with the standing ovations? For a good clue? Calm the hell down. Meanwhile, the people on stage need to just play the game and stay in their seats. THE ANNOUNCER WHO TELLS THE AUDIENCE "and the password is..." F- This guy might have the worst sounding voice that I've ever heard for a "professional". He sounds like he has throat cancer. Note to the production company: fly me to California for the tapings and I'll do it a hundred times better for scale. ANYTHING not to have to hear that fingernail on chalkboard voice OR you could hire Donald Duck. It would be a major step up. CONCLUSION: Hopefully, the producers will not sabotage their own program like they did with "Deal or No Deal". First rule of game shows: NEVER, EVER do a "COMING UP..." bumper. It's a GAME SHOW, not a tease for the Tonight Show. Despite the aforementioned annoyances, they did an amazing job in preserving the game, so I will continue watching and pray that the announcer with throat cancer isn't in any pain.

Ended up meeting his mom in it, too -- and I know she passed -- and I felt so bad cuz I never told her it was nice to meet her before I left.
