Met jon lord, went to his house in Hambledon just to leave him something to matk his birthday, next minute his parents came to the door and to our suprise asked us in for tea, jon was down the local pub with his keyboard technician) it was sunday lunch time, when he came back he gave us an hour of his time and answered all of out questions, such a.gent, never forget you, He sent me a.birthday card for my 37th birthday which i still have, im 64 now. Never forget how kind he was. RIP lovely man.

Hi Diane, that's a dream come true story! Thank you for sharing that! What I wanted to ask was, did you record the meeting? Was it an interview? Just curious, as since Jon passed away, its been a bit tough, as even though I did not know the man (Met him a couple of times), he has been part of my life since i was around 5 years old, and its great to see new footage or interviews of Jon. He certainly was a role model for me. Adam. B

@@rocknrollrecovery7402 Hello, sorry I've only just seen this, no it wasn't recorded, it was back in the day, no mobile phones...plus it was impromptu, I didnt dream his parents would ask us in, I was with my little boy at the time..he just sat in a big chair, I took a sneak peak at his gold discs on the way out! Lovely man! A gent in every sense of the word!!

Такое счастье видеть и слышать великого музыканта ! Я с начала 70-х годов выслушал весь DP . Много записей имел , собрал из СД коллекцию , но такой концерт мне не попадался . Может я уже старый , не успеваю за парнями следить .Спасибо , друг за это видео ! А сейчас , для настроения , слушаю Son Alerik ...так снимает злость от этой жизни ...

Yeah John Lord wasn’t a member of the band just winging it he knew how to write music as well play it and well I truly miss him and I always loved his style music with deep purple it was like one of my favorite bands since I was 13 I’m 60 I still listen to deep purple and I just found this and I’m happy to see thanks for posting Lost one of the greats of the world truly sad
