You show up everywhere, don't you? I think you actually love Jon Lord, you're just ashamed to admit it. Long live the true Master of the Hammond!

@LazyGigolo - American band Living Colour played rock music (although it was kinda a mixture of different styles mashed together).

@anonymusum What I don't understand - because I read some of your comments on Jon and I think also on Frumpy - is not that you don't like his music but why you want to tell this to others so often. Let's speculate: Is it because you like to show others that there's better music and rise the number of people who listen to that music? Or is it cause you just don't like Jon's music and somehow dislike that other people do that or both? TIP: This is not an offense, I'm just interested.

Nice vocal JB.

"Jon Lord is just a lazy, average Hammond player with an awful sound." There are of course any number of people who will post like anonymusum. They do it on purpose to generate some discussion - they know it's controversial. I hardly think Jon Lord would have been so successful, both with Purple and alone, still filling halls and delighting people world wide if he were "an average Hammond player with an awful sound".

hausenkid for me Jon is the best Hammond player in the World. This video doesn't show him off at his best. Check out "If this ain't the Blues".

Maybe Brian should be Jimmy's replacement seen as he was on the scene with Cold Chisel before AC/DC were even formed, he is the original and the best and much more versatile than Brian !!!!:)

They play the wrong riff. It`s from Manish boy. Many english bands did it wrong.

Yes,the riff is wrong..but fuck it

For me, the vocal is too 'shouty' and lacks purity and mellow tone.
@johnrice3557 жыл бұрын
This is not supposed to be a mellow tone song...listen to Muddy, is he mellow ???For me, they're all perfect...
@kevinmcmahon24916 жыл бұрын
Maybe it isn't supposed to be a mellow song but it's about pitch and timbre. Muddy Waters may give it emotion but he doesn't screech. This man screeches. The guitarist Jimmy Conway is a far better singer.

Me. when I hear these white "blues" musicians who'd like to sing like a black, well, I just switch off the volume... Blues is a concentration of a all damaged black souls, so do not disturb them. Do black singers sing Rock music ?
@stuartmunro13195 жыл бұрын
Yes they do...

So Boris you don’t think any white folk music has ever been inspired by poverty, oppression or bad times?

And you seem to follow me all the time - and ähh - Jon Lord is just a lazy, average Hammond player with an awful sound. Now it´s your turn :-))
