Kristen looks great on you! Color #38 is my favorite JR shade; it is technically a grey but presents as an ashy brown. You're right about how different it looks in different lighting. I have multiple Mariska wigs in this color. Thank you for showing it off!

I like the way Kristen frames the face. The brunette with some gray is interesting and a bit unusual. Even though I am older I still prefer my brunettes with caramel, copper or blonde. :) Thanks for all you do!

I love the color on you. It looks so natural on you. I have bought that color also and it use to be my color, but since going outside in the summer sun, it is totally not my shade anymore and i don't feel like dying my hair to match. You look great in that style also.

Kristen was my 2nd wig and I wore her a lot. I will say that as she aged, her permatease got very “nest-like” on top and at the time, I wasn’t sure what to do with that! I was just so new to wig wearing! Now I would try steaming it down to fix that. Just sharing my experience! If you sell her, let me know. I’ve been wanting to try this shade! Great review! Hey, Denise, did you end up keeping it? Is the permatease on the open weft, too, or is it contained in the rose net area only? I tried a dark grey by Envy, which was a blend of medium and light brown, mixed with 40% grey, and overall appearance looked greenish on me. I know some ashy fibres do pull a bit green, it's a classic drabber toner in natural hair coloring, so suspect it's a vestige from years ago. Thanks for sharing this style and color.

I think you should definitely keep her. Style really pretty on you, as is the color. Actually like how she's a lighter, more uplifting looking cut, if that makes any sense, compared to Jamison. Both are very nice, but Kristen gets my vote for being the best of the two. As always, great review! 🤗

Love love Kristen. I want it really bad, but that chunk of hair falling would drive me crazy. I don't have a steamer. Any other tips? The color looks fine on you. Not old or frumpy. LOL

If the issue that you are trying to fix is minimal you can always take some water and a hair dryer to it.... even on regular synthetic. It won't be enough for significant redirection but does work for minor things. Here is a video I did showing this technique. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4SZhaFnaNWlpMU

Hi Denise! Love your videos! I want to buy Kristen but the hair falling in the face holds me back. I have Upstage and it falls in my face and drives me crazy. I’ve tried low heat on blow dryer, didn’t work. I have a clothes steamer but haven’t tried it as I don’t know how. Any advice appreciated.

I’ve actually been looking at Jamison in this color! (I do wish it had a little more gray at the front.) i think Kristen frames the face much better than Jamison. I have Jamison. She weighs 4 Oz. Kristen weighs 3.7 Jamison feels like it has a pad of Permatease on top. I did totally restyle her. She was just so hot to me. I really like it Kristen and I think it’s very pretty on you, color and style! ! How dense do you think the Kristen permatease is?

I think it is more dense than Jamison but not super pillowy. Jamison having a mono part is what makes the difference, I think.
