That looks like it's gonna be classic early 2000s Daily Show hilarious. Stewart + Carrell = comedy gold. Colbert, too.

Nah, although I loved Jon Stewarts Daily Show, some of us love the current version even more, before it was full of white men complaining about mostly white ppl problems. Now its a more globalised show in its perspective!
@Matthew-ve7uv4 жыл бұрын
Nah now it parrots shit. I agree with most everything Trevor says, but I don't need him to say it -- everyone else already has. And the joke tend to be obvious and so I don't go there for that either. Stewart always made me think -- he made smart, clever arguments that made me think about things in a new way or maybe for the first time, often causing me to change my mind through sheer force of logic. That made the jokes more unexpected too. Not sure what White People Problems you are referring to. American, yes, but I think you'd find it a challenge to actually back up this assertion with examples.

@@Matthew-ve7uv well, but have you watched "Between the scenes" segment of Trevor. It might make you think, it's out of script, and genuine conversation with the audience
@siyabongamzimba65014 жыл бұрын
@@Matthew-ve7uv I think satire can be a very subjective issue which is why your reception of Trevor Noah's perspective is jaded. Clearly you & I both see the host's differently, to me how you view Noah's current version of the show is exactly why I tune in. The things you admire Stewart for, are the things I value in Trevor - it's all about different comedic tastes & insights. That's why both men are popular within their different audience groups. Judging by the rise Noah's social media numbers & influence in the US and globally since he started the show proves me right!

I used to think nobody could fill the void Jon's departure at Comedy Central had left. But Stephen proved me wrong, he's just as good.

Actually, Trevor Noah filled that spot admirably for The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert, Jon Oliver and Samantha Bee have done exceptional in their own respective shows.
@eagle36764 жыл бұрын
Just no. Hasan Minhaj is the best and John Oliver a close 2nd. Colbert doesn't dish out truth bombs or speak truth to power like Stewart does and did. Colbert has cringe worthy interviews with Gabbard and makes lame jokes about Bernie. Jon Stewart in one segment covered Bernie better than all of Colbert's takes combined and then some
