Wow. Great stuff, as always. Curious how long it takes you learn these, or are you capturing songs you've previously mastered? Also curious what you have in your headphones. All tracks? Just bass?

Thanks so much! Most all songs I do, particularly Rush songs, I have listened to for many years, and sometimes played them before. I memorize them best I can, and of course never get them as good as I would like. I usually try to stick pretty close to what Neil played, but always fall short. I at very least try to play to the feel, even if I don't play exact note for note (I don't think I've ever played any song ever note for note). I have the full mix in my phones. I then mute the original drum track and mix in my own multi-track drum recording, attempting to get a similar drum sound. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! Enjoy!
