As an Avs fan, I agree. However, the “not much of a player” plays a big factor come playoff time because he becomes a liability at that point because you’re forced to sit a better player in favor of the muscle. The Avs didn’t suit him up for a single playoff game during the 2022 cup run but he probably played an integral role in helping the team stay healthier during the season.

@@POSS99 Again though, Macdermid didn’t play a minute in the playoffs so didn’t have much to do with the cup run outside of the aforementioned where he may have helped the health of the team leading up to the playoffs. Biggest factor in the Vegas series was Kadri getting the 10 game suspension in the Blues series and missing the entire second round. Tough to win a playoff series against good teams when missing your 2c.
