@Gleekedgal I'd recommend thin paper (like standard origami paper) and large sheet (25cm or 30cm)

its not hard if you understand the concept of paperfolding ya know it gets easier as you make origami and i made a big firework thanx to jo here and i used 12 pieces of the printer paper!!! thanx jo ur so epix!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I made my fish, but his tail won't stay stuck together like yours! Is this because I used newspaper or because my folds aren't crisp enough, or did I miss something? I got the "tuck in to the flap" fold on the tail after you shape it, but is that all that's holding it in its shape?

i think its the newspaper. try A4 printer paper or construction paper if you dont have origami paper.
