They have some magic paper that defies physics. It's not going to be flat; it's going to be 3-D at this point. Just be delicate with pulling out the bottom flap. Once you get it out, it's just like the other side.

I love love love this turtle! The way the shell is folded is amazing. I didn't have green tissue foil, so I wet folded it out of Tant paper. Wet folding is definitely necessary. By the way, thanks for the tissue foil habit. I finally bought some and am totally hooked.

Yes, that's a hard fold! I replay this step like twenty time to understand, looking at Jo Nakashima hand, making the same move and after that fold everything go smoothly to the end :)

Awesome model and definitely the hardest model I have made. I had a couple of "wtf" moments but watching the parts over and over again I managed to complete this model. I just hoped that I had a different paper... now the green/white paper doesn't quite create the illusion. Awesome, awesome, keep up the good work!

I made this and I loved it thx so much because my cousin just got cancer stage 3 and her favorite animal was a turtle and I gave my paper turtle to her and I saw a smile on her face and I started crying because I never saw a smile on her face sense she got cancer so thank you so much for this video sooooooooo much.

Just finished this model using 15x15 cm tant paper, if anyone is wondering if it´s possible, only final shell and leg folds are a bit tough. Awesome tutorial!

Nice tutorial. My first couple of attempts didn't end up all that pretty, but now that I am starting to understand what I am doing, the result is way cleaner. Very satisfying.

I did it with a 30x30 irised paper, the result is AWESOME! The shell is matt, the skin is shiny. The turtle is 12cm long and 6cm tall. It take me 45 min.

I love origami, it really calms me down, making me focus on it rather than anything bad. This turtle left me puzzled a couple of times and the result didn't come out quite clean, but I'm going to give it a few more tries
