Wow wow wow, I cannot believe so many grown men are such picky tea aficionados, ha ha! Sorry my tea break interrupted your manicures, pedicures, eye brow sculpting and chest waxing! A proper man's cup of tea has to be two things: hot and wet. If you insist on any other luxuries you need to take your fluffy slippers off and have a word with yourself! Hot and wet boys. Hot and wet! That is all! 🤣🙃

READ THIS! Based on the research conducted by Dr Stapley of Loughborough University, it has been confirmed that putting the milk in before the hot tea is the correct way to make a brew. Sorry to those of you who have been putting the milk in last all this time, you’ve been doing it wrong! This somewhat bold claim is all down to the milk heating unevenly when poured into hot tea. When the milk heats unevenly it makes the proteins denature. This not only does the milk lose its flavour, it is also the culprit for the sticky skin that can form on the top of a cuppa! Brewing your tea in a pot and then adding it to cold milk works to prevent this. 🤣

@greeenestbasterd6896 Жыл бұрын
I heard the milk in first was due to the hot water breaking the bone china, so the milk would mix with the hot water and somewhat cool the tea. Now most people drink from ceramics it doesn’t matter.

Hello Jon, thank you not only for this video, but for all the work you have put in creating so many videos to help others. I am new to fishing with dead maggots and have just followed this video as said on the tin, and all turned out exactly as did yours. I know you said that they can be kept under water, but could you please advise in detail of a long term method of storage for about two weeks without freezing if this is possible? Thank you, kind regards, Tony.
@JonArthur Жыл бұрын
Appreciate that Tony! You can fridge them for at least a week, but you might want to rinse them in between. Freezing will work too I guess.

Very informative, have seen a similar video by Will Raison which he put the maggots in cold water and then added boiled water from a kettle . I normally just clean them off and put them in the freezer for a week , not the best way if you need them for a next day session granted . Have added flavour at times to the maggots before putting in the freezer and seemingly when you take them out as they are thawing the maggots draw in the flavour. Picked this up a good number of years ago in an article in Coarse Fisherman magazine by Archie Braddock , who probably is the pioneer of using flavoured deads .

@JonArthur Жыл бұрын
I’d just dust them straight after draining and bag them up. They used to say freezing and thawing draws in the krill flavour but I’m not convinced that’s necessary. They like dead maggots, the krill will just give a flavoursome haze and extra attraction.

All my worms/maggots/casters etc live in the fridge, anyone other than family find it odd, lol. The way I do dead maggots is to add a couple drops of flavour to a bag with a bit of air in, then leave in the fridge for a week or so, after that I freeze them. I have my bait on a constant rota, week on week depending on where I am fishing.

@@JonArthur As my nickname suggests, it's near Marlow. We had Marsh in Wycombe, MBT in Cookham, and Kings of Maidenhead, all fairly close or on the way to fishing. There is one in Slough now, but not sure yet of quality. One of the last fishing trips I went on and your namesake Keith Arthur was there also. We've known each other for years and talking of maggots I told him mine came from mail order and so did his, the same dealer, we both agreed they were rubbish.
